I'm a dosser who takes pictures of inane scenery thread

Jogged a bit of it up and ran a bit of it down. About an hour moving time total with a good 10 mins taking photos and getting breath at the top. Can see why lads get bitten by trail running bug.

The first 3k up is all gravel roads as it’s a coillte site and windfarm. Half the last km is rocky enough and the last 500m is proper trail but good and steep. You’d struggle to run some of it.

You should have called in for tea

Hard to tell how it looks there, mad skyline. What’s the yoke on the right of shot on the horizon?

A reservoir I think.

Few shots of my run route this morning. The memorial is for 5 men of the IRA who were killed when are bomb went off in their bomb making facility in 1920. Bombs were made there and shipped up the coast to Dublin. Some survivors were caught by the RIC and imprisoned and others fled.

The abandoned ship is a mud dredger that was used in Waterford harbour, built mover 100 years ago. It was put out of service about 30 years back and left there. A mural was painted on it years ago but is going faded now.

The bay is the landing spot of the Normans in 1169. It’s also where William Marshall landed during a storm in 1200 where he established Tintern Abbey and then went on to establish a number of prominent towns and landmarks around the South east.
