Ireland politics (Part 2)

It would make sense for Labour, the SDs and the non radical Greens to coalesce but it will never happen.

Bacik to take over?

Big Dunc was one of the main 3 who ousted Kelly according to the examiner

I havent attended one ever would you believe…

Did O’Riordain stab him in the back?

Not that i know of. Ive no idea what happened to be honest.

I only caught a few seconds of his speech from the plinth this evening.

The likes of Bacik, Nash, Sherlock and Ian Duncan Smith were all there around him but no sign of the King of Woke. He might have been there hidden somewhere but he definitely wasn’t within camera shot.

EDIT : He was there alright, at the very back row looking very sheepish.

He was over planting sunflowers on Bull Island, I heard.

Also, is Brendan Howlin the shortest TD ever elected to the Dail? The cut of him.

@Bandage how does Howlins vote consistently hold up in Wexford even when Labour are being obliterated everywhere else?

Like Big Willie Penrose back in the day, just a personal vote, innit?

Also, see Willie O’Dea in 2011 when FF were routed everywhere.

Kelly hasn’t been given a fair crack at the job at all.

How long is he in the position? Same timeframe as Covid?

Agree but Labour are just a sideshow these days only hope they have is SF get in make a balls of it and merge with the SDs

Kelly was the most right wing labour leader since Tony Blair

Roughly the same, sure Howlin was leader at the last GE and that was just a few weeks before the first lock down. Didn’t get much of a chance in fairness.

Kelly went up massively in my estimation the time he didnt wear the mask on the Luas because he was watching Man United on his phone.
