Ireland politics (Part 2)

Elections must be held no later than 30 days after the Dail is dissolved.

I never understood that phrase, exceptions generally disprove rules.

Gerry Hutch was granted bail on the basis he needs to get home to run in the election. It’s happening

Like McGregor saying he has to train for a fictitious UFC fight to delay a trial

Only difference being he mentioned it a few weeks back well before the investigation started

It’s really a bit shit that we have posters doing the tried and tested online fascist troll technique of expressing obvious coded support for an assault on a decent man and a decent politician by a fascist thug, by using an exaggerated version of irony.

Is he gone yet?

3 weeks so announcement would have to be this week for the 29th, probably Friday so.

I must have missed that announcement from him

He confirmed through a close family source :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

FFS you’re as bad as Apples with the implied rumours

Must be held within 30 days of Dáil being dissolved. It doesn’t matter if he goes to the Áras tomorrow or Friday, every date up to and including the 6th December is in play.

Ah ok whoever was discussing this on the hard shoulder last week was talking balls so.

Was it not on the news today that he was released from Spain to return here to declare in the ge?

Really? They hardly started the investigation the day they lifted him? I’d imagine it was underway for months before that.

I heard the same thing and checked it out afterwards.
