Mary Lou is shit. A nice person I’d say but a shit leader…

I have no faith in any politician or party in this country. They’re all children only interested in playing childish games… The system is outdated, career politicians just don’t work.

He certainly deserves a shot at it. Interesting to see how he gets on and two or three opoosition TDs man marking him and slating every proposal he makes. They are unlikely to be as effective in this role as he is himself

There’s a long tradition of Irish politicians making a name for themselves as opposition powerhouses - harrying ministers to cheers all round. A lot less common is that any of them can line up to anywhere near their rhetoric when they achieve office. Perhaps OB will buck the trend

Yeah and to be fair there’s plenty of other examples.

Who would have though that sounding suitably outraged while outlining easy sounding solutions that you had no responsibility to implement was a lot easier than trying to solve complex problems involving multiple competing stakeholders and long lag times to measurable change

Hes not far wrong tbf. Maybe on buying the shit vaccines but he wasn’t the only one. Saying that the good vaccines haven’t got us out of this mess, even with the best uptake in Europe and possibly in the world
