Ireland v Norway

why does he have to keep lads happy that aren’t performing? Hendrick, Robinson or Brady should not be involved in the next campaign, they’ve had their day.

Cullen and Molumby are more than capable in midfield as they’ve shown. If they had a focal point up front to whom they could actually pass the ball without fear of it coming straight back they’d be a lot better. They destroyed McGinn and McTominay twice.

Smallbone has premier league experience and is playing regularly for Stoke. Why not give him a run at all and take a look at him against Norway? Evan Ferguson got 8 minutes. I mean that’s no time for anyone to get a look at them, much less an 18 year old.

I came close to doing something I’ve never done with an Irish match in the first half the other night. I nearly turned it off and I watched the Gibraltar game

I’m never overly critical of a man trying to do a job and I was supportive of him up until recently but I genuinely think it’s a waste of time now giving him any more goes at it. He hasn’t done anyting to move us forward in two years, we have a defensive system and continually concede from set pieces and hardly ever look like scoring from open play. that’s on him and Andrews

Robinson is only around the 27 mark. I wouldn’t discount him yet. Although his goals tally for Ireland is severely misleading because of that week last year where he scored 5 goals in 2 games against Azerbaijan and Qatar.

Brady should nearly be starting LWB due to the paucity of options and him being a regular in a decent championship team. I’d agree on Hendrick at this stage. I’d agree on Scales too. He’s been on the fringes of the squad for a while now and has never been given a cap. Must be very frustrating for the lad.

I was a match going fan up to the two most recent games and I want him out. The other 5 lads who have season tickets with me want him out too. @briantinnion didn’t even use his season ticket this year such was his disgust at the regime.

The good results have been very few and they’ve come when we’ve already been out of contention. Actually, how bad are Scotland? We deserved to take at least 4 points from those cunts. I don’t think the football’s good either, for reasons already mentioned.

I also don’t think we should settle for him. I think it’s a proper malaise now and the chord needs to be cut. The turnover in coaches hasn’t helped but the side looks an absolute rabble. I can’t identify anything he’s good at tbh. Team shape and structure: shite. In game management: shite. Team selection: inconsistent. Demeanour: weird as fuck.

Robinson is crap. He isn’t next nor near an international standard player. The amount of moves that broke down on him the other night with his little steamer turns and flicks, hold the fucking ball up, bring our midfield up and take a kick. He’s an annoying wanker too.

He has 6 international goals against Qatar, Luxembourg and Azerbaijan.

Is Didsy still kicking a ball?

Kicking for Derby. I wonder when Adam Idah is back from injury? He was just starting to break into the team at Norwich before it.

I was warming to him too. He was starting to figure out how to hold it up, he’s a big, strong, fast fucker who can do damage. The other lad at Norwich is a fine player too. We’ve any amount of centre backs. I wonder could Collins do a Declan Rice role in holding midfield and release cullen into a more forward role longside Molumby?

When Omobamidele is back next year I would drop Egan too, was a disgrace last night for the first goal. Only player id have involved over 30 is Doherty and that’s because we have no alternative. Kenny has been too loyal to the older lads.

Again, what manager would you bring in?

Big Sam would be a good fit.

Not for me, hed play all the old past it lads. Someone like Postecoglu, Celtic plucked him from Japan. Surely we could pick up someone like that.

Dean Smith

Won’t leave Norwich surely.

In an ideal world obviously; he’s the type that should be aimed for.

I think Obamadembele could play holding midfielder as well. But we aren’t short of holding players. Its some sort of creativity we are missing.

you need to get solidity and then worry about creativity. we are conceding goals at an alarming rate with 5 defenders.

Set pieces are really our best chance for goals unfortunately. We need to get someone high up who can win frees. That’s sad I know but it’s all we’ve got

Team deficient in technical competenve and graft, but a serious lack of strong athletes out there.

O’'Dowda wingback…he can’t run at all. Cullen is a lovely player, Alan Browne is the only real powerful runner in that side…thats frightening for an Irish side.

Doherty would be better off as part of the central back 3 or fucked off, he hasnt the energy to get up and down in the context of an Irish team that cant retain the ball in advanced positions. Re the above,Ogbene and Mclean need to play.

I never thought we’d have a team that couldnt run. Stephen Hunt was a fucking donkey but woupld be our most important player now.

the narrative has been that he is bringing young players through, but it looks like a heap of them arent up to it
If Duffy was playing we wouldnt have conceded those goals.
Brady has to be better than O’Dowda

the shit that @Aertel220 & the newstalk generation used to give Glenn Whealan is laughable

Spock/Kenny hasnt a clue lads. He is an incoherent mess when interviewed. He really is in a role above his ability, unfortunately.

His message to the players can’t be any better. It is unfortunate.

Brady is ten times the player of O’Dowda and should’ve had a run playing off the main striker as a number ten. Gifted player, most gifted we’ve had since Wes Houlihan anyway.

Robbie Brady is 30 and hasn’t played 30 games in a season since 2016. You can’t rely on him
