Ireland v Wales - March 24th 2017

Bale’s haircut is a giveaway…he’s a cunt.

The point is a good result for us…but there’s a sour taste left after that game.

Spot on, mate.

Good chance you’ll see worse if you go to a Leinster senior league match over the weekend.
@carryharry made a very good point about how whole heartedly Coleman goes into the challenge.
Lads suggesting that Taylor has deliberately broken a fellow pros leg would want to cop on, some of them aren’t even wums.

Hendrick?

Watched him closely tonight. Never ever wanted the ball. Jogging away pretending to pick up a man when really it was the classic “I’m too scared to take any risks here” and show for it

Disappointing not to get all three points, gutted for Coleman. It was a bad, bad challenge from Taylor, just reckless. And Bale’s was very fucking late too.

We just lacked that little bit of guile to get the goal. A lot of pressure, a lot of balls pumped into the box but no real clear it chance. McClean’s was closest, I thought it had just stuck in, what a reaction that would have got.

I think McGeady should have gone on the right when he came in, and left Jimmy out left. Would have given us a little bit of extra width and stretched them plus had two decent targets.

I thought Whelan was superb in the middle. Bale was their danger man and could have won it but they didn’t offer much else beyond him banging one in from distance.

Our worst player.

I’m enjoying this Euro Football round up on RTE2. A great addition.

@caulifloweredneanderthal selling any cans for the back of the bus?

In fairness to him mate, the tactics tonight were to knock the ball long and by-pass the midfield from the start.

It worked in reality as we all would’ve taken a point before a ball was kicked.

Given the injuries…it was a v good result…bar Colemans leg break.

Game was there to be won, we should be aiming to top this group.

Joe Ledley finds it hilarious.

All true I suppose. Tactic was obviously to go long and take minium risks. Still there were times where he could have been braver without putting us at serious risk

Longy is a good lad, a bit of a throwback.

I agree we should have tried to play a bit…particularly into Hendricks feet but O’Neill weighed it up and went with the long ball.

He’ll be happy with the point…although a win would have knocked them out more less…

Given the circumstances…its a v good point.

Hendrick wasn’t great tonight but he’s a good footballer. Keogh isn’t comfortable on the ball at all, which was noticeable. Everyone battled though but Whelan was the main man, showed real maturity in his performance and didn’t take any shit from the little cunt Allen.

Agreed was surprised at how Whelan got around the park tonight. He was a real enforcer.

Whelan is v underrated.

He’s not underrated but had a fine game tonight

The Welsh really are a horrible shower.

He looks useless beside McCarthy because they both do the same job. He’s fine when he’s doing it on his own
