Ireland vs Moldova & Wales v Ireland - World Cup Qualifiers 06/10/2017 & 09/10/2017

Bit of a danger Belgium won’t give a shit though?

That guy Pjanic guy is one of the most spineless pieces of shit ever to take a football field. A great man to open up a defence or score a stunning free kick when his side’s already 3-0 up though.

In a nutshell.

A draw is definitely the best result in Montenegro v Denmark, though if there is a winner it’s better it’s Montenegro.

In the second place league, Montenegro have 10 points with a goal difference of +3 and Denmark have 10 points with a goal difference of +6.

In the overall group table both are on 16 points with a goal difference of +11.

Say if Montenegro were to win 1-0, that would leave them on 13 points and a GD of +4 in the second place league.

But if Poland then beat them 3-0 in the final match, a one goal victory for the Irish in Cardiff would be enough to overhaul them.

But Denmark would also need to fail to beat Romania in their final match.

Martin O’Neill has accepted a contract extension to the end of the Euro 2020 campaign.

Think eir sport are covering our U21 qualifier tonight v Norway in Tallaght.

Why have the sports reporter gimps on Newstalk being bullshitting all day that a Scotland - Slovakia draw tonight suits Ireland?
You seem to have said on a couple of occasions that a Scots win is a must.

Which individuals have been saying this?

They’re talking shite.

Every sports bulletin I heard today they were serving that line up.

Yes, a draw would mean Slovakia would have 13 points and +6 goal difference for the second place table, which we are highly unlikely to better

Should Scotland v Slovakia end in a 0-0 draw, a 5-0 win in Wales would give Eire an identical 13 points and F11 A5 goal difference to the Slovaks.

The tiebreaker in such a scenario is fair play points.

Slovakia are down to 10 men. 2nd yellow for diving.

Josh King and Mohommed Elmandy banging them in for Norway…
god be with the days of Jan Aage Fjortoft, Tore Andre Flo and Oyvind Leonhardson
the influx of Norwegian players into the EPL for the 93/4 season after they beat england 2-0 in june 93 must rank as their must successful period, then came Rosenberg on the scene in i think 1995
Leonhardson was a really class player, in that very likeable wimbledon side
Its gone now @Sidney all gone…

Vykintas Slivka of Hibernan scores for Lithuania in Malta
His teammate, goalkeeper Ofir Marciano from Israel didnt play against Celtic last week as it was Yom Kippur

@Sidney

What’s the landscape looking like after tonight’s results? Is it all over or what do Eire need to get a playoff as things stand now.

Beat Moldova and Wales and hope Scotland don’t win in Slovenia??

Is that it @Sidney ?

The below

It’s our best shot, but not our only one

Can Slovenia still get second? Or will they roll over?
Edit they have a tiny chance if they win and Malta do the impossible and beat Slovakia away, you would fancy the Scots to do it but no better nation to shit the bed when it matters.

They can get second with a win and a Slovakian disaster against Malta.

can someone explain what is the prize for the winners of syria and australia
1-1 today , i doubt it was played in Aleppo but Bashar’s lads make the trip down under for the return on wednesday
lots of twee shit about the team who beat the odds under a tyrranocal regieme, etc… in the stands the fans hold up pictures of our man hailing his leadership

bit like Israel mark2 or Kurdistan looking for independence and the snowflakes cheering then on without knowing that it’ll basically be nothing more than a huge US airbase, people are pretty thick sometimes
