He missed a sitter against Porto a few weeks ago that would have put them through. You can’t create one chance in a game and expect the striker to score it. Collins got as good a connection as possible on the ball at the weekend and was unlucky the keeper saved it. Long’s was poor tonight but as I said Ronaldo missed a worse one
You could nearly replace the word clinical with competent.

I get your point but he has usually buried them down the years in those big ties, a lot of those Real wins in Europe were very marginal.

Complain about his movement, touch, etc. but every striker misses “easy” chances, even in big games

The boys filter back well when we lose it, but nobody presses the ball…noticed that as a running theme of the last 3 games.
If Ireland had a semi decent striker they win the last 2 games.
