Irish Dragons' Den

I’d say the arse will fall out out of the investment after due dilligence.

Saw the site advertised a couple of times on the journal already though.

The programme was filmed back in October or November I think so surely we’d be able to find out how their ‘business’ is going now.

Did that gom john Mullane actually say that?

Very good advice, I remember an Italian bloodstock agent ringing the old man to buy a foal off him, my old man told him in his pidgen Italian he didn’t understand cheques. We counted the money on the kitchen table after.

I suppose the foal broke his neck out in the field or something according to your records:D,i hope your old man doesnt have too many foals for sale this Weather,Noel Connors wont even take them for free down this way these days.

There’s fella around our way who a couple of years ago would pay a few bob to take away the unwanted horses. Now he has to keep the gates to the yard locked at night or else he’ll have 4 or 5 new horses in the yard in the morning.

Was watching an interview with Aidan O’Brien on Racing UK the other day and he mentioned that he knew staright away if a horse was a wrong 'un. Where do these horses end up? Glue factory or do other trainers/breeders take 'em off him?

As a fella said to a group of lads in a syndicate in my local - " The only way that horse will see Cheltenham is in a tin of Dog Food!"

where’s your local?

At the moment Gibneys, at the time that comment was made it was in Tipperary.

Episode 2

First up is Kate Hyde from Waterford. She wants to persuade the Dragons to invest 30k in her website www.hen-party.ie. Will her mascot ‘Stella’ the hen-part hen have the desired effect?

Tony Frattaroli temps the Dragons with his famous pizza whilst Michael Houghton demonstrates his new take on children’s stabilizers.

Finally Adrian Keegan endeavours to light up the Den with his invention the ‘Kaylite’, a handbag illumination device that he thinks merits an investment.

What the fuck does she want the 30k for? A very quick look at her website and in about 5 seconds you can see it’s done with Joomla - which is a free tool for building content management websites and it’s not even customised very well. Website ideas on Dragons Den are always shite.

I think to spice up the whole Dragons Den idea that if someone comes into the Den with an idea, like the aforementioned henparty.ie thing, that they should be shot.

That would be class…

I haven’t read all this thread but I’d just like to say the blonde female dragon isn’t a patch on Debra Meedan.

That is all.

This weeks episode surely won’t match the shenanigans that was last week.

At least this website seems to be bringing in revenue. Her forum is pretty dead though.

she got the sponndolics flano.

I love the way the entrepreneurs just halve the asking price of their business at the drop of a hat. They don’t even try to bargain more money for their equity.

If you were in there and you got a few offers surely you would cop that you have a real winner on your hands…tell them to fuck off and head on strong to the Credit Union with the tape of the show under your arm.
