Irish music

Take the money and run was a cracking song,
Her cover of hope that I don’t fall in love with you excellent as well

Tis……There’s deffo 4 or 5 very good songs on that album.

Bee in the bottle by Sinead Lohan is a great song

I have it here, I’d say there’s not many floating around

A pal of mine worked on the stage in the opera house and had ‘relations’ with Sinead Lohan back in the day

Falling Slowly and no Revelate?

Signing out.

You could be sitting on a goldmine there with that :moneybag:

Sinead Lohan was a bit of an oul hippy, dreadlocks and all but a lovely girl I’d say

I am a butterfly is a classic.

Sinead Lohan gone from the music?

Good while I think. She didn’t like the attention.

Who the fuck is Sinead Lohan?

Cork girl. Singer songwriter.

She did a nice cover of Bob Dylan’s To Ramona.

Never heard of her? Jaysus you are a sheltered young boy.

No. There’s loads of people who have sang covers of Bob Dylan, some lady from Cork wouldn’t jump out on the list.

In fairness, she’s done a bit more than a Dylan cover song, but you probably like dropping Guinness farts while stamping your Tommy Bowe shoes to Mumford and Sons and George Ezra, so I wouldn’t expect you to have any deep knowledge of Irish music.

Who the fuck is Tommy Bowe and George Ezra? Are they a modern day Foster and Allen? Her peak years seem to have been eclipsed by Dolores O’Riordan so it’s no wonder I’ve never heard of this Cork one. She obviously wasn’t any good.

Juliet Turner was a right blast from the past. Reminded me of that Hot Press/Whelan’s scene of around 2002 when I first started working full time and had some money to spend on going out. You’d get a free CD with songs by the likes of The Frames, Kila, Mundy, Nina Hynes, Duke Special, Josh Ritter, Mark Geary, Bell X1, The Future Kings of Spain etc etc. A lot of them shit but I’m now listening to Venetian Blinds by The Future Kings of Spain for the first time in around 16 years and it’s not bad at all.

One of the Future Kings of Spain married Alison Curtis. I used to think it was the main reason they got a bit of airplay
