you seem to be tenuously linking the 2 as if they are somehow comparable. Do people go around saying you should/shouldnt wear the lily? Does it support a state based army?
My original point is that a counter argument to not wearing the poppy by having a go at the IRA is pretty stupid.

there was nothing ācarefully nuancedā about it tallback, as I said, Iām not too pushed about the debate on it all. And I didnt realise the Easter lily was a direct funding event for IRA activities.
As I said, my original point was that arguing that the IRA did stuff is no excuse to be for the poppy.
