Hanging out with Dean Kiely and Keith Andrews would probably only give a young player bad habits and as we discussed earlier here unless you are Irish and want to play for your country which is great playing international football with the likes of the ROI/NI will not benifit your career or value ( the most important of all) in any way if you are a young lad doing well in the EPL, .
Now if you are the likes of Scott Hogan who cant get a game in League 1 then yeah it is attractive to have an irish grandmother as itโll keep you semi relevant, but apart from that - the likes of โMipoโ at west ham, the club and his agent know this is probably best avoidedโฆ at all costsโฆ get an England cap, jackpotโฆ but fucking hell an ROI cap brings utterly nothing apart from risk of injury as Spock gets them to run 40 laps or something with Dean Kiely doing 200 pressups in the background

That is true and it was when he was breaking through at Southampton that this conversation took place. Same agent as Grealish.
TBF Bale appeared to be going nowhere at Spurs. It was obvious he had it, but his career was looking like it was never going to spark. Took fair mental strength to hang in there and turn it around.
