Irish soccerball nil - That boy Bazunu will save us (Part 1) 🐐

why do you assume he won’t get games and will sit on the bench? If someone buys him it’s for a reason. You lads haven’t much faith in the chaps ability

I’d say they would if they could get 100k a week there.

Evidently, I don’t have the same faith in EPL managers the footix do

Have a look through the premier league table and tell me which teams aren’t possession based teams now.

At a push I’d say Burnley and Liverpool.

most of the managers are from the bloody continent

West Ham
Villa
Southampton
Burnley
Brentford
Norwich
Everton
Palace
Watford
Leeds
Spurs

I’m thinking about this purely from an Ireland point of view. If he gets an offer from a poor EPL team to treble his wages I don’t blame him for going

ah jesus. Bielsa is only possession.
Palace have changed under Veira
Brentford are possession based
Southampton definitely are.

basically the teams managed by English lads aren’t. Villa, West Ham etc.

Yawn

If we think about international football for a second, two of the players I’ve been most impressed with at recent tournaments are Granit Xhaka and Aaron Mooy. Xhaka is seen as a laughing stock in England and Mooy just an average midfielder on a bad team when he was there

There’s an amount of money pissed away for no apparent reason. Why you think he should go back to England (apart from money) is mystifying. There’s surely better continental teams paying attention.

Eh you’re wrong. Bielsa is very much a back to front, high press, counter attack manager. You couldn’t be more wrong.

I said EPL or a better league than Belgium if you bothered to read.

The hipsters of course have turned it in to an anti EPL argument so that’s where it went.

The little Englander is getting very upset here

@the_man_himself mentioned the Bundesliga. The rest of the conversation was EPL-focussed. Don’t be weaseling away from the slant you put on it yourself.

Isn’t it awful when the truth gets in the way of a bit of pettiness

that is an oooofty for @Fulvio_From_Aughnacloy

Possession can be as much about high tempo than anything else. Liverpool play at a high tempo therefore they get teams to giveaway the ball a lot.

Possession based teams try to manage the ball and control the tempo, they may still have less of the ball if the other team play at a very high tempo.

Ah shtop. Rise you your petticoat
