I tell you what mate … I gave the whole album a listen earlier and off one listen i’d give it a solid 8 … i’ll give it another whirl tomorrow but from the second Harborcoat kicked in I was on board.

It’s a cracker. Reminds me a bit of Sultans of Swing for some reason.
I’m not an rem head but automatic for the people was a great album. They put out great music videos. I really liked drive from it.

Reckoning is a great record, although I prefer Murmur (probably moreso than any other REM album). Reckoning is Stephen Malkmus’s favourite REM album

You’ve only listened to two you gobshite.
If I had to pick one desert island REM album it would be Lifes Rich Pageant, every song is a classic.
I never “got” REM
“Cardiac Arrest” is better
It’s a pity the song is pretty meh though.
It’s overplayed if anything. Find the River is far superior from that album, in that vein.
