Is Your Job Recession Proof?

This thread was similar to the Fathers Issues thread where it would be bumped from time to time when people lost their job during the recession.

I think it should be kept for that purpose.

Agreed, should be lively again in 2019.

It’s a cesspit. Been there for a few days and it was a few days too long. Full of lazy wankers. Plus not sure how you’ll get on with no gambling @Copper_pipe. Plenty of other places to go.

The question is not is tour job recession proof.
Are you recession proof?

You’ve some neck alright. Posting on a thread about employed people.

:brendan:

@Copper_pipe, I’d agree with all that. Working avroad in some hole or in Australia isn’t seeing the world. But you could do it first to save up enough money to go travelling. Get the year under your belt in your job first. You’ll never regret travelling.

You’re only young once. Go for it.

@Copper_pipe, listen to the wise words of old man Blabec…

A year or two is nothing in your twenties.

You won’t save much money working as a teacher in Dubai. Cost of living and socialising is too high to put away a decent wedge.

Thanks all for the input. I’ll hold fort for another while yet so

It’s ok to re-use the same gag, pal… but try space it out a bit more for more effect.

My PMs are always open bud.

No. I won’t.

Mad how quickly things can change in a few years

Like how @ChocolateMice was unemployed living off Mrs O’Sullivan and is now unemployed living off Mrs O’Sullivan?

Fuck a year working in Dubai, you’d be better off sharing a house in Feenagh.
Get a loan and fuck of around the world for 9 months minimum, south east Asia, South America for the long haul and squeeze in Australia and NZ as well, you might pick up work on a farm in Oz to keep you going,
You’ll regret it for all your days if you don’t do it now, there’ll always be work in Ireland for a lad like yourself,
