Israel

The Israelis are alright sorts? Hereā€™s another Tfk phrase - FUCK OFF!!

guys,
thanks for replying, few interesting perspectives

for guiseppe,

( i dont know how to insert the quotes)

have u ever before been in the middle east and on what is your opinion of israelis based on,?
im just interested as you seem to make a pretty sweeping generalisation about the country and the actions of its state., u sound like a guy who has lived here for a long timeā€¦ m i correct??
or ( and i hope not but expect so) this opinion is based on how u see governement ministers talking and how they are potrayed on TV, CNN maybe??,thats ok, israeli polititians come accross prety bad most of the time, people who live here know that,ā€¦
however, if sledgehammerā€™s bohs are coming over here i was just trying to let him know that the average guys who goes to watch football ( arab / jewish and christain , who fucking cares?? ) are sound out and are just like any normal guys, u wont find any political tension at maccabi haifa, ( its a very mixed and friendly city) and that was what i was trying to say

the settler movement is a problem, yes, everyome will admit that, but these small minority of people are extremists and are not a good representation of israeli society just as hamas who indiscrimiinatly bomb civilains on a daily basis can be used to give an good example of a palestiniean

if u do decide to come over, no problem, stay in a palestinean area if u choose, ramallah has a few very nice hotels, but u wil be very far from haifa and the checkpoints coming out of the westbank area are a bitch

ok, let me know what u thinkā€¦

This country voted a proud racist like Avigdor Lieberman into high office and if the Jpost opinion polls are anything to go by they were fucking delighted about. Extremist minority? Give me a fucking break.

Iā€™ve never beeen to Israel. I read about it quite a bit. It seemed to me that the latest destruction of Palestine was a ploy for Olmert to get more votes in the upcoming elections. Right wing groups increased their vote in this yearā€™s election with things like an oath of allegiance for Arabs to swear as part of their manifesto. If this is what the people choose, then I donā€™t have much time for them.

There doesnā€™t seem to be much opposition within the state to its actions. You can inform me if there is. It doesnā€™t seem to get much publicity if it does occur.

Iā€™ve heard about the checkpoints alright but I donā€™t want to be providing the state with more money than necessary to see the match and Palestine. Donā€™t want to contribute to their oppression of Palestinians.

hello

for women well Bar Rafaeli is a pretty good representation of whats here.
they love the accent and for some unknown reason speaking hebrew with an irish accent gives u absolute power over the natives, (the call it Hibrish).
tel avi where i am has a very very hi 27 - 35 population ( single),
thursday nite is major scoring night but u have to work hard and u learn to sharpen ur techniques, doing it sober is tricky as these women dont drinkā€¦
all good fun tho, ill try and post up some photos of the tel aviv thursday nite cafe / beach scene later

hookers plentiful bout 250 NIS, 45 yoyo a pop, mostly russian mafia organised,

coke, not so plentiful , u can risk ur life buying it at the egyptian border in sinai but with our weather just grow ur own weed on ur balconey (if u choose to stay, if for a visit contact me and ill arrange)

Darn. Would ginger hair hold any currency there? Novelty even?

Welcome aboard Mick.

Any chance you can answer the simple question of whether or not UEFA currently allow competitive European games to be played in Haifa?

Cheers.
How the fuck is Israel classified as Europe?

Itā€™s presence on the world map and huge influence on world affairs is an insult to every right thinking person.
Have you campaigned on this, or harrassed your local TDs / MPs / MEPs in relation to this, or have you just had a cut off some anonymous lad on an internet forum, and nothing more constructive?

I donā€™t think Israel or Turkey should be part of the European community but the fact of the matter is that they are. Sometimes when it comes to sport, a bit of pragmatism is called for if youā€™re to take any kind of enjoyment from it.

From my basic research on Maccabi, they draw a lot of support from Arabs, which gets a thumbs up from me anyway. I donā€™t think Israel is going to be driven into the sea anytime soon, being realistic about things.

Never generally a problem sourcing either, itā€™s getting to these places Iā€™m more interested in.

No coke but plenty of weed, eh.

Christ, thatā€™d be like them saying ā€œsorry lads, the footballā€™s off this week but thereā€™s a cricket game on over in Tel Avivā€.

last year bnei saknin played deportivo la coruna in macabis haifaā€™s stadium Ha kiryat elieazr in the intertoto cup because sakninā€™s ground was not at UEFA standards.

i do not know a reason as to why macabi CL games could not be played there,
i will go to the macabi haifa forun tomoro and investigate furthur

yes
haifa as a city is virtually half half arab and jew
sectarianism and racism is relativly un heard of here at games.
the isral national team has 4 regular arab starters and the capatain of hapoel tel aviv walid badir is arab
the only problem is with beitar yerusalim, there fans wll NOT allow the president sign an arab player, they play numerous games behind closed doors due to volence and racist chanting.
last week they beat haifa 2 zero in the state cup final, they took the trophy back to their teddi stadium where the proceeded to celebrate with their fans , their striker amit ben shushan was caught on TV singing how he hated all arabsā€¦ anyway thats beitar , jerusalum has that all vibe about it on all levels including football and is best avoided

A British politician has launched a campaign against State Cup winner Betar Jerusalem after a group of the clubā€™s players were seen chanting racist epithets.

Writing in the Iranian English-language newspaper Tehran Times on Sunday, Respect party co-founder Yvonne Ridley spoke out against Betar players including striker Amit Ben-Shushan, who joined in with fans singing anti-Arab songs at a celebration at Teddy Stadium on Tuesday evening.

Ben-Shushan, who plays on the Israel national team, was caught on camera chanting the words, ā€œThis is the land of Israel, Toama I hate you Salim Toama. I hate all the Arabs,ā€ part of a popular chant sung by Betar fans.

Toama is an Israeli-Arab former national team and Hapoel Tel Aviv midfielder who currently plays for Standard Liege in Belgium.

In the days since the incident Ben-Shushan is reported to have telephoned Toama to apologize, claiming he did not mean what he said.

Ridley, however, said she believes action should be taken against Betar.

ā€œThe international governing body of football, FIFA, in accordance with its anti-racism campaign, should ban Betar and the involved players from participating in any international activities as well as impose a heavy fine,ā€ she wrote, while calling for readers to lodge a complaint with Blatter on the FIFA Web site.

ā€œThis behavior is unacceptable and the Israeli football authorities, and this club in particular, should be severely penalized. If we are serious about kicking racism out of football no one should be exempt, not even the Israelis,ā€ wrote Ridley, a former Daily Express journalist who converted to Islam two years after being held captive by the Taliban in Afghanistan nearly eight years ago.

She currently hosts a program on the Iranian English-language television channel Press TV.

Ridley moved quickly to defend herself against any criticism of anti-Semitism by noting, ā€œby the way, the whistleblower who brought this to my attention is a European Jew who is repulsed by any form of racism regardless of its origins, so any Zionists reading this can stop crying ā€˜anti-Semiteā€™.ā€

Fascinating stuff. I knew Beitar were a pack of cunts alright.

hey
thanks for the reply
getting in and out of west bank is seriously difficult, its illegal for an israli citizen to enter, therefore u cannot drive a rental car u get in isral to their ( the army willadvise u a the checkpoint not to takeit in, if u do u are at the mercy of the palestinean authority), also once inside ull have serious issues getting back into isral, not to mention trying to fly out home afterwards from tel aviv.
the west bank is a dangerous place today, Fatah , mahmoud abbassā€™s party are seen by hamas as traitors as they want a 2 state solution with isral, the area is on the verge of civil war, when hamas forcibly took power in gaza in 2007 they basically had all fatah members imprisoned or shot. violence in the west bank is common, and i would not reccomend going there as a westerner as some radical will assume u have some jewish agenda.

in isral the settler movement from the perspective of most people is a crime, most of these settlers are Uzi toting maniacs fromthe US how see themselves as frontiersmen taking the land of Cana for themselves, the governement are trying to destroy these settlements ( some not all) but they are continually been rebuilt.
these people are bleeding isral dry, the use the law that says they are religous and spend their days studying torah, there fore they do not work and live off state ( taxpayer) benefits.

should the governement stopleaving them in?
they cant, the land of isral was founded on the theory that if u are jewish u have a right to be here, the rabbis control the court system here and even tho we have a democracy they all side with the harendim ( religous)

I canā€™t seem to send this Mick chap a PM.

Dunph, when youā€™re finished with Freda can you sort it? Or any other admin?

Can you elaborate on this? Shariah law is something that the pro-Israel lobby batter Palestinian sympathisers with.
