Go if you can.
I am doing hand overs every morning to Bangalore.
I could read them Sylvie Linnanes Autobiography and I would get the same response.
Complete silence.

I am very much hoping I get the trip out of it but we are fairly under resourced at the moment.
By the by, IS contracters in the UK make some fucking money, the boss has shown me some CVs he has for open reqs and the day rates these lads are looking for and getting:eek:

There are 3 DB guys over form the UK sitting across from me here.
550 per day plus VAT is the going rate

Sterling or euro - £618 a day for a run of the mill MM consultant
Euro.
They’d get 600/700 a day in Dublin.
Working like dogs though.

You have to earn it for the most part otherwise you will soon be found out. There was a big financial project here abour 2 years ago and they were turning over FI consultants on a bi-weekly basis - some amount of lads just winging it

For that money you would expect them to work like dogs.

The golden rule - CYA!
I think I want a new job. My current role is great but it’s gone a bit stale.
Go out on the audits
I think that would make even a McDonalds worker appreciate their job
How likely would you be to pick up similar work in a similar location?
That’s the thing, I’m not sure do I want similar work. There were a couple of openings recently that would have been a bit better pay wise but pretty much the exact same role I’m currently doing and possibly handier.
I’d rather something with a bit more scope, but wouldn’t have a great deal of options around here.

Whats the deal with lads looking for ‘challenges’?
Are we all not trying to do as little as possible here and whilst trying to maximize the money we get for doing it.

If it is variety he is looking for he should change his woman not his job

He’s just back from honeymoon and fresh. Give him 2 weeks and he’ll be looking for the easy option again.
Nothing like a week in Portlaoise to give one a new lease of life.
Spent three hours last night managing database and memory issues between 12:30 and 2:30 and again at 6:30 this morning. The joys of being on call, some cunt in the States is going to get an unmerciful boot up the hole off me later today as I am fine and cranky now
How does being on-call work with you? Are you basically available to them 24 hours a day for that week?
