January Transfer Window 2019

It’s not up to me to prove he wasn’t. You said he turned them down. The only evidence submitted to this point is Aguero claiming he would not have been at City if Madrid wanted him.

Checkmate.

Explain how Chelsea of 2004 and PSG of today differ?

PSG bought two of the top 4 players in the world in the past 18 months, one of them from Barcelona. Teams from the EPL would not be able to buy one of Barca or Real Madrid’s star players.

The £64 million they’re lashing out on this Yank kid is apparently the highest amount Chelsea have spent on an outfield player, overtaking the £58 million lashed out for Alvaro Morata.

And how does the differ from Chelsea of 2004? Chelsea used oil money to purchase the likes of Drogba, Carvalho and Essien. And you mentioned yourself they bought Shevchenko and Ballack. These were much sought after players.

@Cicero_Dandi is handing out some hammering here. If Barca or Real want a player they get them. Nobody wants to play in England over Spain all things being equal.

Why? Both have had way better forwards over the last 10 years

I agree, I said the exact same thing a few weeks ago in reference to Liverpool

While they have had better strikers for sure he has been the best striker in the EPL for most of his time there, Spanish speaker and a good age, as I said I’d be a bit surprised if neither had any interest at any time, but I have no idea.

Have the pretend Italians handed you membership yet? You’re trying very hard to fit in.

Huh? I’ve had more arguments with @Cicero_Dandi on here than anyone bar Kev I’d say

The EPL heads are gas … Barca and Madrid are the biggest clubs in world football — you’d walk / swim / run to them if they came calling.

I haven’t a clue about that, you’re sucking up a lot lately,

I just happen to agree with him on things lately. Start an argument about Messi for the craic

 so much so that you needed to point out that he’s handing out ‘hammerings’ by posting an article focussing on pre 2011 when we’ve been exclusively talking about the period after that??

That’s a hammering?? More like a brown nosing

The argument isn’t about the relative attraction of Spain v Chelsea, it was incorrectly implied by @Cicero_Dandi that Chelsea could not compete with Barcelona/Madrid when they actually spent 50% more than both in the summer of 2004. @Cicero_Dandi also stated that only PSG can compete with Barce and Real Madrid. Chelsea of 2004 are no different than PSG of today. Chelsea inflated the transfer market due to oil money, no different than PSG.

They can compete in terms of money, they cannot compete for actual players. Simple

Keep it up anyway, they’ll accept you eventually, in fact this little exchange here will be very good for your application,
You’re welcome.

Fulham spent more than Barcelona this summer but if both want the same player then there is only one winner.
