Itā€™s not though ā€¦ heā€™s a teacher ā€¦toys out of pram only lead to the kids losing a good teacher ā€¦he needs to respond not react ā€¦ ask for feedback where they believe he fell short ā€¦ put it back on themā€¦

I went for job last time it came up and got feedback. I was told I achieved bar that time, which meant I was appointable. I was also told that such a senario was highly unusual i.e. to achieve the bar and not actually get the job.

I absolutely nailed that interview last week. Politics have screwed me.

The type of place he teaches in is top level. They keep an eye on which schools do well in which subjects etc and find out which teachers are responsible. If he can walk into another job with better pay and conditions why not.

Depends on location too.

Easy day kick the bucket without all the knowledge etc

Snide prick

Teaching is very different to private sectorā€¦ Granted you obviously really like the school and no doubt youre a great teacher so kids are benefiting from you staying in the classā€¦ But you also cant put your life on hold for everyone elseā€™s benefit. Getting knocked back twice for a job youā€™re clearly qualified to do ( and raised your game after previous feedback) is pure bollox actingā€¦ thereā€™s no rush but Iā€™d be thinking about your next move and at school yearā€™s end make the decision. Fool me twice - good fucking luckā€¦ Lifeā€™s too short

you need a breakā€¦ why are you so angry?

To be honesr, given what fenners has told us, id be asking them why would i stay when i clearly have hot the bar. If they can rscognise that hes hit the bar, surely others would

Fenners theyve shown you no loyalty so why would you extend it to them. Theyre probably gambling on your loyalty to your pupils. They need to appreciate that theres a line

Let it go lads.

Fenners knows his own mind.

Hard luck pal. Itā€™s hard to take when you know youā€™ve nailed the interview too. Your time will come.

Hard lunch @fenwaypark. Take the mid term to stew and then come back with the head held high.

Donā€™t attack your principal and end up in Mountjoy for contempt of court.

Do wait a few weeks, let the pique clear and plan your next move.

Thatā€™s a tough one to get around, unless you play the game as well. The best thing for your brand can often be a move. Is there an option for you to take a break from that school and go elsewhere for a year or two? Would going back be an option then?

if someone else has gone as number 2 thatā€™s at least 20 odd years waiting for it to come up again, thatā€™s the simple facts. (depending on age profile) but at the very least 10 years.

@fenwaypark is obviously very good at what he does and Iā€™d say a number 1 job would be achievable elsewhere within that timeframe.

The ambition was there for a change of roles. Donā€™t let them fucking squash it

@fenwaypark needs to get Ami Burke on the case.
