Youâre making a fool of yourself yet again. âŹ50 million in debt and all to pay for a ground they donât even own.
yes, they are in the same position as someone that owns an appartment, they own the building , they dont own the land. This has been dealt with here before.considering that you live in a 1 bedroom shoebox appartment its funny that you think Mr Delaney is a fool when you are in the same situation
50m in debt after a 12.5m debt write off to pay for an upgrade to a ground that the IRFU owns and leases to them
dealt with and clamped in the above post
if you rent an apartment you get a 999 year lease to allow enforcement of good estate management obligations
FAI lease is 60 years so itâs like a tenant with a life interest funding 50% cost of an extension to a house

the legalities are the same though. The FAI get a stadium for 60 years whoch they will pay off in a quater of that. Its a great deal. Owning an appartment for 999 years isnt of great benefit to someone, I hear they get very mouldy in year 789
What is gola lite trying to say here? That the FAI shouldnât have invested in a mutually benficial deal in the Aviva and should have went back to Daleymount Park or something

I took this picture of Aviva Stadium last night. Glimmering beautifully across the Dublin skyline. A monument to Mr Delaneyâs brilliance.
an architectural masterpiece that Dublin can be very proud of, all thanks to the foresight and vision of John Delaney
Ffs. Angela Kerins wouldnât get out of bed for the kind of money Delaney is getting.
When john is head of uefa in 10 years time, we will be honoured to have his shoe / sock / tie / handkerchief / wallet as a souvenir
I suppose he will look after you, his old college buddy with plenty of tickets???

Dirty Hands Walter gets admitted to the Roof Terrace Bar in the Marker. This guy is truly a mover and a shaker.
Iâm a businessman, pal.
You are. You really are.
When you have roomed with greatness, the rest does not matter
I was in BGE Theatre earlier where JD along with OâNeill and Keane were flogging the 10 year tickets - 4900 euro. OâNeill and Keane were entertaining. I suspect they may struggle to sell 10 year tickets though.
Papers are reporting that the new 10 year Club Ireland tickets are 85% cheaper than the Vantage 10 year tickets
Outside the top tier countries there is very little corporate appetite to attend ROI games in the Aviva. It may of course change if team is successful but the lack of household names in the Irish team is damaging its box office status.
