the praises of the Desmond League and the MFA
tis political correctness gone mad!
Nice to see McGrath backing our administrator.
Fucking ridiculous shit anyway. Read the autobiographies of players from the early 90s and they all sang rebel songs all the time. Laughable to see the Irish Times leading the way on a soccer story. It could only be something like this that would push rugby down their pecking order.
Who advises these lads
1. It wasnāt me singing the song
Realise this is not a runner.
2. Actually it was me but it was done in private
Realise this is probably not the best excuse
3. Sorry if I caused offence
the worst sort of apology
If you are high profile and a CEO of an organisation like the FAI then singing a song about hunger strikers is something you probably have to sacrifice. Itās harmless in scheme of things but anybody who is media savvy would just shy away from that and know itās not the best thing to be doing.
Two Irish prisoners forced to wear the butchers apron around their neckā¦ lest we forget!
@Fagan ODowd - I think this maybe Dungarvan ?
The media vilification of the two main Irish leaders and heroes - John Delaney and Gerry Adams - is despicable.

That is Dungarvan. I think I have seen newsreel footage of this incident. Possibly on the British Pathe website.
Niamh Horan hangs JD out to dry today. I canāt imagine why JD would require a chauffeur, but hey who cares when he still has time for the little guy
A media agenda against the great man.
Stay strong John. You can rise above it all.

So he brought Horan to the C L final for reasons unknown, next thing He is on a flight to the US with Nadia Forde, then horan writes a piece slating him for it. Women cat fighting over Mr Delaney!
Horan comes across very badly in this piece.
JD should be allowed concentrate on the real business of continuing the fantastic work he is doing as CEO of the Football Association of Ireland. He doesnāt need these pointless distractions.
Emma, Niamh, Nadia, what first attracted you to 360k a year plus private chauffeur John Delaney?

Any background story on this. Or even a date.
There is a big First World War memorial in Dungarvan isnāt there?
yes, Ireland has been opressed for 800 years mate, some of the country won its freedom but we will win it all back
Iāve been in direct contact with Mr Delaney and I can confirm that he remains in good spirits despite this sickening campaign against him.
Did he lash one into Whoran I wonder? Could you ask him or should we just assume a stallion like Delaney undoubtably did?
I know John has recently had his contract extended to 2020. I hope the FAI give him a further one year extension so he can be in charge of Irish soccer during the 40th anniversary of the hunger strikes. Itās the least he deserves.
