John Delaney/ tugging off half the forum

No, if you look at clause C there in the preamble it clearly refers there to the parties having ā€œin turn entered into loan agreementā€ on or before 1 January 2010 which it then defines as the loan agreement. So clearly there is another document.

The tell tale sign of a loan agreement is an agreement to lend and an agreed basis of repayment. There is none of that here.

Look pal, Iā€™m just a bit disgusted with the way the FAI went about declaring that money. To me it was sly kicking something when they are down.

With regards to Irish football, I just hope we bate those English and Scottish cunts in the next couple of weeks.

Would you stop bluffing. You donā€™t even know what a loan agreement looks like.
I enjoy soccer too pal, played it at decent club level for 8 or 9 years, I love watching the game but fucking hell the fellas who are running the game are not developing it properly. Look at a similar country to us like Belgium, look at the work theyā€™ve put in - education, proper academies etc, itā€™s way too easy in this country to blame this and that for our inadequacies.

And as alright as a sort as John may be, He should be asked to do more for Irish football.
Belgium has nearly three times the population of the Republic of Ireland and is half the size of Ireland and football is by far the most dominant sport there. It is far easier to put structures for grass roots and a domestic league in place where you have the population in urban centres and far less competition to contend with.

Is it though are you sure? I always thought those cunts where inadequate bastards in comparison to the dutch, while still being as rascist. Still though we could learn a thing or two from them regarding academies, education for players etcā€¦

Fair enough, thereā€™s another document obviously. You said this was a confidentiality agreement just. Itā€™s not. Itā€™s the agreement that sets the loan against the France match.

Iā€™m sorry I slagged your eyesight though.

So the point you were trying to make was bullshit so now youā€™ve just reverted to kicking someone when they are down, ironically enough. Itā€™s unfeasible to fix the domestic state of the game in Ireland when the demograph are a bunch of glory hunters besotted by the glitz and glamour of foreign lands, with no intention on helping build the game in their own country.

The only thing Delaney is in bother for here is trying to do the best thing for football in this country.

Both are far smallr countries with far bigger populations. Sheer numbers dictate, the fact that they are far more urban centres and a long history of relatively strong domestic professional leagues makes it far easier too. Historically Irish football has been inextricably linked to England and developing players to play there first and foremost, this isnā€™t John Delaneyā€™s fault it has been going on for generations and since the EU and free movement has come in and clubs can sign young players from all over the world means we are now in a tough position.

Whatever way the domestic league is set up and whatever money the FAI pumps into it or tries to package it it will struggle when competing against the EPL. Far easier to watch Sky sports than travel to Finn Harps, Drogheda, Derry, Waterford etc to follow a team. There will always be apathy towards it as long as the EPL and Champions League is so widely available

How could we learn anything from them? They have clubs like Anderlecht who have been established in European football for years. They were winning European trophies back 40 years ago. Thereā€™s no foundation for that in Ireland and thereā€™s no way that will ever change unless Irish people ditch the likes of Liverpool and Man Utd and start supporting their own game.

There is another document Rocko. Itā€™s called the loan agreement and though youā€™re too pig headed to admit it, what you posted is a confidentiality agreement.

You can slag my eyesight all you want. Itā€™s not about seeing. Itā€™s about understanding what you are seeing.

Now fuck off.

Ireland hadnā€™t produced a footballer of note in 15 years.
Nobody is interested in watching the domestic league.
Nobody is interested in paying in to watch the Irish national team.
There are more numbers than ever Iā€™d guess playing at a grassroots level and the vast majority of these tog out in a bush on the side of a municipal pitch.
They are in some sort of ground share with the rugby for a ground they donā€™t own and are struggling to pay their share of the build cost.
That the like of Delaney gets away with all this and has all types defending him and argueing the minutae of a bribe he managed to shove thru the books is one of the greatest feats of personal achievement in modern Ireland. Delaney is a magician.

Yes. Iā€™ve said there is. What is pig-headed about saying that? I think youā€™re too worked up about this.

And what about the kids who make it from the favelas in Brazil?

Thatā€™s grand so.

@Rocko has taken a right beating here. Itā€™s like that time he smashed into the glass doors in Berlin.

Sidney

The worst decision since Roy jones in Seoul 1988 ā€¦ Rocko had a big points win!!

Eh, Belgium are absolutely shit mate. Did you see them in the World Cup last year? Hoof it in the air to Fellaini and Lukaku and with other hammer throwers like Kompany in the team.

How did the wedding go mate? did you enjoy yourself? was the food good?
Huh?

They would use the money they got in to offset loan repayments going out. And therefore it would be in the accounts over the time equal to equivalent payments out that it was funding or part-funding.
Forgive my rudimentary understanding of accounting but are you not describing the accounting treatment of a grant as opposed to a loan here?
