John Delaney/ tugging off half the forum

When Bertie becomes Taoiseach again, he will see his vision through of the Bertie Bowl.

Who will be laughing then?

A very savvy move by John Delaney to leave the IRFU having to deal with the maintenance, repair, demolish or rebuild costs of what will then be an old, dilapidated and antiquated stadium.

You started yapping on about spending power. You weight everything in material value until that stance contradicted it then you maintained it on one hand while dismissing it when it didnā€™t suit you. If thatā€™s your attitude maybe you should ditch your manager, heā€™s obviously not worth the money heā€™s paid when you seem to be of the opinion you need to spend much more elsewhere.

Bertie Bowl would have been brilliant.

Indeed. IRFU will own a site with a land value of 90m at current values. What collateral will the FAI have to offer?

Iā€™d like to know where Henrys 5 million hand ball sympathy money went to?

Whatā€™s he doing that the head of the Italian FA or Spanish FA isnā€™t that warrants double their pay? Grass roots soccer compared to GAA and Rugby is poor enough for facilities and any kind of clear progression for youths to progress to any sort of decent levelā€¦ Some clubs are doing a fine job but with very little thanks to the FAI.

I expect land prices to reduce considerably between now and then.

It was accounted for properly in the audited financial statements.

Details in the link above.

Hypocrite.

Delaneyā€™s salary matters, Kloppā€™s doesnā€™t.

Savvy my fucking bollox. 60 years paying a lease and nothing to show for it.

Iā€™ll be dead in 60 years.

That is the idea behind a lease

Oooft.

Not if you are Arthur Guinness.

Have you not read a word I said? With 0.51 net spend and to be in the conversation as league challengers is unbelievable stuff. If he can get within touching distance of the clubs that lash millions after millions at it then he will have rightly earned his salary. Conte for instance has a net spend of 88m more than him. Jose spent that on one player alone ffsā€¦ Heā€™s doing an unreal job but lets be serious, managers with a net spend of 0.51 rarely win titles against teams that can throw near 100m net at it.

Me too well dead. Aso will most of the posters here. Apologies @Bandage itā€™s a non argument. We can have it in front of the pearly gates if you want

The stadium has an estimated useful life of 60 years or thereabouts.

Yet Delaneyā€™s salary matters and Kloppā€™s doesnā€™t.

A double standard, you entangled yourself in a web of contradictions.
