It is the job of the FA to support football in the country which they govern. They arenāt doing that by paying their CEO three times what the league champions get

Prize money can be what you want it to be. Some leagues distribute more centralized funds through prize money, some distribute it directly through grants.
Itās a bit of a pointless discussion without the facts.
How much money does the LOI generate centrally?
How much do other leagues generate?
What % of each respective leagueās central money is distributed through prize money?

I think the FAIās disclosures were unacceptable over many years.
I think their Board composition and tenure is worrying. I donāt need Niamh Brennan and the combined code to tell me that.
I am curious as to what this loan was for.
But I donāt see everything as black and white. Some like a simple narrative. There has been a bunch of financially illiterate football journalists who have hated Delaney for years and who have been messaging this to the public. People have swallowed this all whole and canāt get their heads around a bit of balance.

John Delaney is helping football in Ireland. His salary is suitable for a top class executive. Heās already paid for it for 13 years with his FIFA masterstroke.
