Have you any example of this? Other than not being coerced into how he should speak by his employers he had expressed plenty if empathy for trans people. Unless he has expressed something radical in the last few months? Lash it up if he has.

The big problem is how do you define what’s hateful? Who decides it? Is there a measurement? They could have simply introduced a law that said incites violence towards these groups if that was their intention but the vagueness surrounding hate and what’s hate speech coupled with this totally arbitrary new proposal about holding materials on private devices clearly demonstrates that this is being introduced to control free speech and thought… Much like other parts of the world i suspect it won’t be long before they cement this by also introducing compelled speech soon enough.
Anyone that cares about democracy should be very concerned about these new laws.
