So Peterson is responsible for everything someone else says. Particularly a damaged individual. Did Peterson come out and say regardless of what this lad says, I back him 100%. An interesting level of culpability to apply, Iām sure youāll hold the left to the same standard going forward.
Or did he just agree with some of his viewpoints and not with others. That is a possible stance, not for morons who canāt debate though and shriek cancel once someone puts forward a questionable viewpoint.

I donāt know much about either person in that interview but I had to stop watching after a few minutes as sheās relentlessly trying to misquote him or misrepresent what heās saying ā¦sheās getting angrier and angrier

Iām dismissive of what he says based on who he chooses to associate himself with, yes. Also on the basis that heās a near-suicidal depressive who only survives with serious medication and he makes his living telling people how to live their lives.
I wouldnāt dismiss him from his job and I wouldnāt ban his book. His book should be published.

Endorsed Trump, refused to be respectful towards trans people, said that women who wear lipstick to work shouldnāt complain about being sexually harassed in work, etc. Heās probably said load of stuff more I disagree with but I stopped listening to him.
Iāve just remembered thereās something interesting that he said once that had an effect on me. He talks about how the part of the human nervous system that reactions to social status and power and dominance etc. works the same as that in lobsters (Iām over-simplifying here). Thatās all fine as far as it goes but people canāt live their lives like lobsters, lobsters donāt have a spiritual life for example and their social hierarchies are A few years ago I was going through a rough patch in my personal life where things werenāt going well and I remember that in the middle of it I had a dream of a lobster floating down to the bottom of the sea and it all looked like Radioheadās video for Pyramid Song. When I woke up I realised it was a Jordan Peterson-inspired metaphor for my life going south, like I was the lobster. So fair play to Peterson, he came up with an image that obviously had an effect on me and got embedded but at the same time I can also see that itās not very helpful in terms of how youāre supposed to live your life.
