@BruidheanChaorthainn as a starting point no fall out whatsoever, however the media now have a sniff of a scéal or at least one in the making and unlike the fabricated rivalry they attempted to create between Shefflin and Canning prior to the '12 final series where Henry was portrayed as some robotic monstrosity late comer relying on pure will rather than skill opposed to Canning the Prince of Hurling who had an Excalibur type dawn at age 11(his first year county minor) that he would carry Galway to the promised land, the relationship between Cody and Shefflin is very real and when dissected not as co-dependent as we’ve been led to believe.
And however symbiotic the cosmos intended the crossing of paths of these two individuals to be, it would always be unbalanced. What Shefflin gave to Cody and Kilkenny hurling could never be reciprocated. Written about this will accelerate matters.
Again no obvious fall out required but over the next couple of months I think we’ll arrive at a certain juncture where neither could ever work with the other. In any event, trajectories are given a push.

When I was young in KK all the protestants were big land owners and none of the sons went to the local schools or played hurling. Could be different now but I doubt it.
Kilkenny College was the school of choice for Protestants back in the day. Not sure if it is now. The local primary schools were all they had in that respect.

I remember having to look at a job in there one September in the days after a KK all Ireland win. Caretaker was showing me around, and remembering the one and only time I was in school when Wexford won and how mental it was the week after, I asked was there much of a buzz around the school or if they had got fully back going again. “They wouldnt know what a fucking hurl looks like in this place”

Shocking. You’d meet a bird at the Rugby Club disco say or in Da Vincis or the Cu cc @iron_mike and they’d say they were from the College. You can forget the files in your head tuned into hurling and soccer, tune the mind into rugby and showjumping
