Kilkenny GAA thread

All of the neighbouring parishes would have attended Callan CBS so you’d have friends from all these places. But for me I’d say the following:

Danesfort - never minded them, not too many went to Callan
Dunnamaggin - hated the cunts back in the day
Graigue Ballycallan - all grand apart from that turncoat cunt
Windgap - were never on our radar, until now!
Mullinahone - Inbreds

Who is the turncoat?

What got into his head at all?

Worse still for them to pick him

Was a grand hurler. Did he stay involved at any level?

It’s a sad state of affairs for The Lockes if Windgap are on your radar

The empty spaces in there the issue I’d imagine

He was good pals with a chap from Mullinahone, could have been that. We were all in the same class in secondary school. You’d have to wonder why he went over - Jesus he was some hurler, was destined for greatness from a young age.

He was friends with Leahy during that time and was swayed by him apparently.

Amazing he left given how strong G/B were at that time although Mullinahone were serious as well. A golden period for that part of the world.

Sure Mullinahone are like the league of nations

I meant Tipp

Saw Graigue Ballycallan play a challenge around that time. They arrived about an hour late with Adrian Ronan driving the bus. They put on some show after. As good a club team as I have seen. Class forwards.

Danesfort jerseys always have no sponsor on them?

No think that’s a commemorative jersey to mark their 100th year. Terry Clune bank rolls them and most of their club kits have Taxback.com logo on them.
