That team sucked what minuscule optimism i had going up there on Saturday. I really hope there will be numerous changes and that the team name is a red herring.

Did any of you useless bastards post up the team yet?
Realistically we haven’t many other options unfortunately. I like English but he’s very green and got pushed around v Galway. The right job was to play him full back all through the League but we didn’t. Tom Condon might have had a year or two at 3 in him but his pace is gone at this level. Not many other realistic candidates.
We have Richie now and we may make do with him. Play Hannon a bit deeper, keep the two corners close, pull Cian Lynch out around midfield to allow O’Donovan sit a bit deeper, closer to Hannon.
If we make a contest of it and have something to play for after 55 minutes, by which time Richie will surely be gassed, empty the bench and send on the cavalry, English, Malachy, Jimbob, Nash and Mulcahy.

The current Kk team won’t score that even against our selected side . We will surely score more than that against an average defence . That said i think the result stands .
Delighted to see DOD starting but besides the couple of backs starting also disappointed with what looks like a 2 man Ff line as Hayes will more than likely drop back as will lynch and we’ll play with 2 up top and give their fb line time. They will also launch ball into our fb line and will look for early goals to kill us. Has the kk team been named?

Why are so many of the better Limerick hurlers on the bench? Are they hoping it stays close and they can launch them at about the 55 minute mark? Galway tried that one year against the Cats (2007?) and it backfired badly.
Who exactly? O’Mahony isn’t fit to start?
Nash should be there somewhere, would be shocked if he didn’t start.
I’ll let the Limerick lads answer that, it would be presumptuous of me to ridicule their team selection. Just seems a very young team at the throw in.
It isn’t young enough if anything. English and Nash could easily start.
You don’t think Kikkenny will try and bully them? I’d have Ryan at midfield to start and maybe Condon as a spare defender.
Both those lads are well past it lad. And Condon doesn’t have the legs to play as an extra defender. Or the distribution. Only way Limerick win this is by running down the throats of the KK lads, making breaks, getting frees, making goal chances etc and its the young lads that they need for this.
