Kilkenny v Limerick 2019

I know but I don’t see the point in getting involved here anymore as it just leads to a slagging match. So easier to leave it and not get wound up about trivial things. I am taking a leaf out of Joes book.

Do we know for a fact that Condon doesn’t have the legs anymore? While he’s a nice hurler, I wouldn’t be playing him as a free man, I’d tell him to stick close to Reid or someone and get stuck into him.

I don’t think we’ll have a free man in defence, and if we did, you’d want it to be Hannon presumably.

Were Galway trying that day?

Hickey did a decent job on TJR in 2014. He is probably our best man marker .

They need someone to do a Geary impression v WD in 07 Saturday evening.

Better hope it stays dry underfoot for that to happen.

He did to be fair. But none of the full-back line we named are really suited to playing out the field if Reid were to move inside and Hickey followed.

After a brief dip last night my optimism is rebounding.

This is primed for us, no expectations, no pressure, just a free go to have a right cut off a KK team on the decline.

The players are there to give them a decent rattle, we just need for things to click on the day, hit points where we’ve been hitting wides, take our goal chances when they come, use the ball better, protect our FB line more etc. Simple, but hard to do obviously. If we can keep the game in the melting pot until the 50th minute or so and spring our bench (which is arguably stronger than the team in places) we’ll have a right shot.

Finn will pick up Fennelly and will give him enough of it. Dowling will run riot (or jog riot) against their full backline.

WE ARE LIMERICK AND WE FEAR NO ONE

We don’t give a willy

We don’t give a willy and we don’t give a wank, we are going to destroy the left bank

What stand are the Limerick ultras going to be in?

@Bandage - I’m going to wear my colours tomorrow - Which jersey should I go with?

I don’t get why O’Mahony is left out, for leadership and big game experience if nothing else, he ups it for these games. Ditto Nash, brings a directness, attitude and goal threat but with the physicality to match which most of our forwards don’t have. The rest i can live with. We can do this.

Some of the mad pot shots from all angles might come off but it’s hard for everything to click and a team like Limerick all of a sudden “to use the ball better” when their whole game has been based on lorrying the ball forward and they obviously haven’t trained to any sort of cohesive pattern. Stranger things have happened though.

:joy:

Couldn’t agree more.

The selection of Darragh O’Donovan is also good but why the fuck now and not 3 months ago.

I was holding off on tickets as princess was thinking of coming up - thankfully she is not but they are no longer selling tickets online !! wankers . I presume they can still be got in Supervalu??

I’m hoping lessons have been learned and the pot shots will be at a minimum. Dowling can win that awful ball we hit into the full forward line better than anyone and you have to hope that the plan hasn’t been to hit terrible ball into the forwards, that they’ve just not being doing what they are supposed to. That said we’ve been doing the same thing for 3 years now without learning anything.

Dunno bud I would presume so
