I’ve considered this for a minute and have concluded it’s a fantastic idea. Good in the air, mobile and big clearances he’d be an ideal outlet for short puckouts. The fact that he doesn’t mark at all and has no experience at fullback (nevermind at intercounty level) should prove no hinderance

Colin Fennelly will most likely roast McCarthy. It’ll be heart in your mouth each time he’s receiving ball.

I’d be more worried about Richie Hogan TBH. He was stone cold useless against Wexford and will be chomping at the bit.
Look at the Carnage Fennelly caused against Wexford when he fetched ball inside,now imagine Richie Mc marking him…
