King Henry of Galway (Part 1) 👑

I reckon McInerney, Harte, Joseph Cooney and Canning were the only players over 30 to start this year. Canning is obviously a big loss, and McInerney has been a mainstay, but Cooney and Harte shouldn’t be too difficult to replace. Some of the Galway players look to have gone stale but it’s not an old squad.

I suspected as much

Is some lad called Mooney getting it?

No. Those folk are the backroom.

I am told – reliably, as they say – Ravy rang up a famed former Galway hurler in Castlegar and somehow got him to propose Ravy at some meeting or other. This proposal got an extremely tepid reception – but panic can be a massive agent in decisions.

We shall see.

Just got a message that claimed The Clare Champion have said the ‘Davy to Galway’ story is bullshine. But cannot find a link…

Davy will bring the Galway senior hurlers to a semi-final at least next year.

Fantastic appointment.

2023, there will be an inevitable fallout.

Overtraining will be a hot topic by then too.

I’d still be surprised if he’s a genuine candidate tbh.

Galway will get an initial bounce for sure in 2022. His track record is good in that regard in fairness.

I don’t understand why Galway don’t go for Teege

I’d say he was probably approached. Knowing TJ, he wouldnt dream of going against his own though, intercounty wise.

He wanted Mark Landers as head coach.

Ravy?

Yes, as in I’ll still be surprised if he ends up there.
