It’s wrong that a family have to fundraise to basically save their child.

I think it’s a rare enough condition so surely be to fuck the government of the day would say any child who is diagnosed with this condition will have their medical costs covered, up to €2m? If there’s only a handful of these cases a year then the outlay is small enough, in the greater scheme of things.

It’s fantastic that the GAA link has proved so helpful in this case but if you had a single parent or even a married couple with no such network of contacts then they’d have to watch their child suffer in horrible circumstances. Wrong, wrong, wrong.

The Government of the day can’t do everything but when it comes to sick children, above all else, surely an exception or two can be made for Christ’s sake.

Staggering amount of money raised for that family so far. Hope they hit the target and smash through it comprehensively.

Former Laois captain Padraig McMahon recreating the worst haircut in Laois football history (by his club mate Scott Conroy in the 05 Leinster Minor Final) for Dan

For context

1.65M now but in truth it’s much more than that as theres loads of Facebook campaigns donation funds to be added to the pot.

Anyone need a lawnmower lads?

Was there somebody here looking for one yesterday? A great opportunity to kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

You’d want to be having a very bad day not to see the sense in that.

They’ve done it

Some great self congratulatory speeches by some county board alickadoos at the end.

Seán didnt spare himself there alright. The man in the cap is Bill Phelan, a Portlaoise legend, the Portlaoise GAA Grounds formerly beside OMP were named after him following his passing in the 90s.

Mick Dunne was there at a table as well. Did they lose to Wicklow that year?

Dont fuck with my zen, man.

Yes :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:
