Appeals are a waste of time. Only way you go up is by clerical error i.e. someone put in h2 instead of h1. While that is possible, itâs not probable as a couple of people check results prior to sending them off.
Ah yea look at. If I was I her shoes, Iâd be inclined to let it go. Especially if hes happy out.
She should as its a pointless exercise.
I suppose youâd be worried it would affect job offers when you come out of college as theyâd have it on the CV. But as someone who once upon a time was involved in hiring a few people a year, I not only ignored leaving cert points. I was inclined to throw any CV that included them in the bin
They only thing relevant in a degree is the placement or final year project. Itâs harder interview for junior positions than for senior ones.
Totally agree by the time youâre looking at CVs college degrees in my opinion are even irrelevant itâs the experience you look at thatâs all important. I couldnât care less if Johnny or Mary got 300 or 600 points.
First job out of college is the tricky one. But Iâd rather see someone who worked in a shop or something and got 400 points than someone who got 500 and did nothing
Or got 500 points and did nothing cos they were sulking and thought they should have got 550 points
Ten mins in and youâve run out of questions!
Hoping someone on the interview panel asks the stupid, tell me a time you overcame a challenge or such question so you dont have to be the prick that asks that question
We hired the guy who answered throwing people out of a bar to that question
I hope he was an employee of said bar and not just a random punter lobbing lads out
His story contained a controversial detail about the person being thrown out which did not go down well which HR but I was able to argue my case to hire him.

No need to copy and paste your LinkedIn posts here thanks.
I wonât go into the particulars but it was an individual who was barred so while the interviewee could have been more circumspect I recommended him over the guy whoâs main experience was selling beer in India and the guy from Tipp.

I havenât even gone into buying coffee for the homeless guy outside McDonaldâs before I high fived the CEO
