Thatā€™s probably why it ended up a draw

5 hooks and blocks apiece? Iā€™d say thatā€™s bollox. Seemed to be constant hooking and blocking all game?

Mcinerneys limitations were exposed today.

Questions absolutely have to be asked as to why they were so poorly prepared mentally. But then the over confidence of roasters beforehand was unreal, lads i was drinking with talking about the hotels they have booked for all ireland weekend and planning where to go for pints then. Watching the munster final guffawing at how much weā€™d beat both by. Maybe it does seep.

Ah stop, be mad not to book Accommodation in advance. Those lads be thinking when others be sleeping.

True but no contemplation that we wont be there. Hubris has always been galways biggest flaw, thinking we were better than waterford, clare, wexford offaly and then losing to them. Used to always be tuned in for the big three but today they went out thinking Kilkenny wouldnā€™t keep it pucked out.

Iā€™d say it does.

Sometimes you lose the benchmark, bits of complacency set inā€¦ If your lucky enough to come through a game like today it will help refocus and you can get back on track.

No physical work needed this week but plenty of hard talking.

Brian Boru played centre back that day. Hurled an unmerciful amount of ball

I was very confident today purely because i donā€™t think Kilkenny are any great shakes (compared to other Kilkenny teams). Some of the decision making and fuck acting going for goals when they werenā€™t on and fancy shit when they were on was driving me nuts. Touhy running in to trouble rather than clearing at least 3 times Johnny Coen not able to rise a ball with no one near him. I never bought in to us dominating for years. Pace will cause our backs problems. Lucky to have another go at them.

FAO of @flattythehurdler, what did you think of Billy Ryan today

What did you think of Horgan today, thought he was harsh enough on ye.

Watching Hanbury and Harte standing a back and letting some young KK forward make a clean catch :triumph:

Hanburry was poor today. Thought Harte had an ok first half. A lot of them looked like they had a Mike McNamara training session this morning.

Is somebody/anybody in a position to tell Walter Walsh he does not have the acceleration to beat players from a standing start. His only option for taking on defenders should be when receiving the ball at full tilt I.e. coming onto a break or receiving a pass, itā€™s then his power and momentum takes him past players creating scoring opportunities.
