How far would a player travel in 2 or 3 seconds?
14.65m
Hard for referees to count the time so.
As I seen someone comment on the co. board Facebook page last week âBluff Eganâ.
Why do you hate referees?
We should be making life as easy as possible for us to implement the rules.
As the preeminent and most respected referee on the forum Iâd advise you to mind your tongue or youâll find yourself outside the fence very quickly. Youâre dealing with the best here.
I was in Wexford yesterday & my sources told me the Antrim lads had an epic drinking session in The Ferrycarrig Hotel into the wee hours after the game on Saturday night. Iâm glad to hear anecdotally of teams going on the tear during this round robin phase, especially ahead of bye weeks. Or not in Antrimâs case, as they play Kilkenny this weekend coming. Our big game this Saturday is against Dublin in Croke Park. I think the Kilkenny-Galway draw last weekend & our earlier loss in Galway means our season effectively hinges on this game. Lose & weâve pretty much no chance of advancing even in third place, win & the Kilkenny game in the last round becomes a de facto Leinster semi-final. To use the reliable old hurling turn of phrase, there are lots of question marks over both Wexford & Dublin. We both seem to have fallen back from where we were a few years ago.
Is there no football game on after the Dublin-Wexford game this weekend? I canât get my head around playing it in Croker, I just assumed they were double-headering it with a Dub football game but shur they arenât out again for another week.
I wonder will it break 8k. Surely going to be one of the smallest crowds for a âTier 1â male IC championship game in Croke park.
They have the Galway match fixed for the same venue which could go even lower.
Very true. Especially if they lose to Wexford.
Itâs a farce to have it in Croker. The Gaa should have rejected Dubs request to play the game in Croker and Portlaoise or Tullamore should have been offered up instead.
I doubt there will be 8k at it and probably suits Wexford to not play it in Parnell Park.
But the Dubs wanted this so im interested to see their tactics as perhaps they feel the wide spaces of Croker would suit them better.
No.
Sure, the pitch dimensions for Croke Park are 144 metres long and 86 metres wide, while the pitch dimensions for Parnell Park are 140 metres long and 80 metres wide.
Thank you! Happy to assist.
80 metres wide me hoop!
I apologize for any incorrect information. Can you please clarify the correct dimensions for the Parnell Park pitch?
