Leitrim football manager Sean Hagan is under no illusions as to the importance of Sunday’s match.
Unbeaten Division Four table-toppers Tipperary are the visitors to Carrick-on-Shannon for Round Six of the national football league and the hosts - who are just two points behind the Premier County on the league table - will be hoping to bounce back from their shock defeat to Waterford last time out.
“The way we are looking at it, it is the biggest league game for six years and we would ask the supporters to get out in force behind the team,” Hagan says in The Leitrim Observer.
"The lads respond to support. It’s a must-win game for us and the crowd can be worth a few points.
"There is no doubt in our minds the lads will respond. Leitrim supporters have been waiting a long time and this is a glorious opportunity to get out of Division Four.
“The lads know that it will take a massive performance.”
We’re in deep shit here as I type. Wayne Mac has the flu’ all week, Darren Sweeney is doubtful, Fergal Clancy is out and Ray Cox rated as “doubtful”.
With the Wayne McKeon thing, I’d feel that unless his tempreature is 105 Sunday morning he’ll start - he’s a hardy hoor. I’d bring in Shane Moran either at 8 or 11 and hump Robbie Lowe to 14 where he’d provide nuisance value if nothing else. We’re fucking staring down the barrel here…
In related news (more bad news) Mossy is out for the season I’d imagine. Awaiting further surgery on his neck, can’t hold his head up straight.
Its shit or bust sunday lads but at least were in with a shout two wins should see us up, that goal robbie lowe scored and wasn’t given would be handy now for pts difference
Hon Leitrim ta fuck…and Carlow

Cheers pal. Liatroim Abú
A bit pot kettle black here but we might struggle for goals today. The Tipp keeper is nearly the same width as the goals themselves
Keep the updates coming, pal.
Half time. Tipp 3-8 Leitrim 0-10
We’ve kicked some lovely points but Tipp are an excellent side.
Conceded goals in first and last minutes of the half.

Full forward line are excellent and the hunnish sounding George Hannigan has done well around midfield
Young Quinlivan hasn’t scored yet? Is he playing full forward?
[QUOTE=“farmerinthecity, post: 923745, member: 24”]Austin is causing havoc

He’s been allowed do what he wants though Farmer. Tracking back by our lads has been bordering on lazy at times imo
