Leitrim Gaa 2021

That was the beginning of the end.It was downhill from the league final.

Interesting set of results. Nothing between the 2 “Carrick” clubs but a 2nd serious drubbing for Drumshanbo and they look vulnerable. They were, with ourselves, the whipping boys in the group so they’ll need to win 1 if not 2 of their remaining games to avoid a relegation playoff V us and SoH…A tall order (I hope).

Not looking good for Drumshanbo tbf

I’m on the verge of tears for them… They’re a kind of a club that if they go down might struggle for a decade to regain status. The 10 senior clubs make it competitive and they’ve been dancing with the devil now for the last 2/3 years.

I think 8 senior clubs is plenty in Leitrim tbf.Yore right about them goin down though, would be a while before they get back up.Poor form for a “big” town team

When I see 3 clubs that I perceive to be eminently beatable I’ll switch to 8 senior then.

Fenagh are coming good they’d be top 8 no bother for the foreseeable future.

1.08 to 0.06 at ht.Manor with a lot of wides and dropped shots

Winner alright 2-12 to 0-10. Mohill scraped by SoH 1-17 to 0-17. Ye’re back in as favs 15/8.

I doubt that,4th or 5th favourites I’d say.Kinlough are very poor, goin on tonight’s performance they won’t go far.We should have won by far more.I left limerick at 2 got home for 5 and was in Kinlough for 5.29 and got in the Manor game and missed the first half of the Mayo game thank God.A good day all round.

We’re out this evening V Mohill, a big ask. They’re practically in the q/fs being 2/2.
For a small, rooral club we’re at full strength which means we have 15 and a lock of subs.
I’ve fired us into an accum at 4/1 which is outstanding value lumping them in with SoH, Manor and Leitrim Gaels.

Just reading the Observer here and noticed it was this evening. Is it being played in Mohill?

It is. We’re not afraid of away venues however. The forestry is closing in on own humble fortress.

Which Eslin used on many occasions when we had no pitch of our own.

Well that didn’t go too well. We had the bastards at arms length coming up to halftime leading 1-07 to 0-06 before conceding the good old wan-wan…Level at the break but Mohill changed gear tacking on about 12 white flags to our paltry 3. We rose a consolation green in the dying minutes.
Mohill 1-19 Fenagh 2-10. Keith Beirne outstanding for them in fairness….We have the Willies next…

Hard luck,

Beirne is a serious player in fairness.

They’ll be hard bet, they have serious athletes with great engines and Beirne, as you say, is a top finisher. They had the luxury of trotting Junior Canning on for the last 15. The Harkin lads are just what every club needs, hard grafters who have the prep put in. They also have however some unsavoury supporters that would remind you of Meath followers of yore….
