Leitrim GAA 2023

The O’Byrne Cup :joy:

Shur we ran out a hape of chaps against Longford and went to Navan and came away unbeaten. Not our fault Carlow ran scared from us then.

You’ll get your shot

The 50km walk is generating some cash again this year - €122k with a small while to go and final tallies not yet in. I don’t know if the overseas effort has hit yet but it’s another year of super-hoofing.

Donal Casey named at corner back for UL tonight

Nobody cares about UL - availability for Sunday is the key metric.

100% but I thought his hamstring was gone the way he went down last Sunday

It wasn’t as serious as it first appeared seemingly. Full steam ahead……
All aboard the choo choo………

He wouldn’t be on scholarship that UL have first call on him?

Are UL playing at the weekend?

Clare were without two UL lads last weekend for that reason afaik, although another one played

He was with us last Sunday so he mustn’t be

From the Observer :thinking::thinking:

This begs the question as to what’s his availability status for the weekend.
I’d imagine, subject to an appeal, he’s suspended from the next round of the colleges competition.
Proper order to rest Casey but that said we have options there currently.

You’d expect Keaney to come straight in for Flynn.It doesn’t say what he was sent off for, @Raylan do you know?Casey will be missed though that’s for sure.

Think it was something in the way of a cynical foul late on. Suspension would be specific to the Sigerson anyhow

Second yellow?

Hard to see Keaney in for Flynn given his mid-week exertions. Expect Domhnall Flynn at 12 to drop back covering or Plunkett to 11 with Jack doing the chasing down. Shane Quinn likely to come in for Casey if he’s out or my personal preference Plunkett to 6 with Quinn to 12 for the donkey work.

Will you text Coach Moran with this plan when you get a minute, he’s blocked calls from me because he thinks it’s @thedancingbaby calling.

Jordan Reynolds was doing the Fenagh Flynn’s role last week.I think Tom Quinn will come in for Casey.

@anon67715551 and others

Current panel member Tom Quinn is a son of Tomas Quinn who was goalie for Leitrim in the early 90s.

What club was Tomas Quinn?

I thought he was a Willie but Martin in Chaplins thinks different.
