Leitrim Gaa 2025

they would be eligible for all competitions for LG this year, dunno if they have played yet as they’re involved with different county setups. All these lads available and they will be in with a shout

Could be dark horses alright if everyone is available

Minors beaten by two points by Roscommon yesterday evening. Makes a change from the usual hammerings.

Beck and Kennedy for the seniors!

The 20s were 10 PTS up against Sligo the other evening and a bit later were 10 PTS down, eventually losing by 4

My sources tell me that the current Cavan U20 manager will take over at Mohill when their campaign finishes. Extremely difficult to get a manager apparently,

not a terrible idea- there is zero point employing money men for a team in transition that transitions every 2/3 years and them someone is stuck starting over again, and if they do get a run and players buy in, all the better.
No outside manager is going to improve us anything for at least 2 years unless they can convince at least 5 of last years panel back.

U-20 result this evening: Posted without comment.

Roscommon 6-17
Leitrim 1-08.

Jesus Christ. Aren’t them U20s meant to be decent?

The Poacher effect

I’ve seen the 6 goals, one worse than the other. Backs burned for pace and unable to defend against hard runners pressing up.
A couple of unfortunate injuries but morale has vanished. It’s over.

Did they pull the senior players?

Three of tonight’s forwards could possibly start V Mayo but given that it’s Saturday evening it’s unlikely they’ll start then. All a matter anyway.

Weird

They pulled the six senior panelist’s even the keeper.

Then the team selection as was published was erroneous.
The team as advertised had Ben Guckian, Darren Cox and Paul Honeyman all potential starters Saturday listed. As I said - Matterless now.

Different from this then….

you cant beat a good dummy team lineup.
No harm, they were only fulfilling the fixture and they need to use fringe players, you would feel pretty down in yourself losing every game and not getting any minutes all campaign. Is there a B competition? Cos this could be a similar lineup, good few lads will not bother with it and go back to their clubs

Yes. I think it’s called the Andrew Corden cup for the Leinster B championship and then there’s an All-Ireland series too. Down won it last year I’m fairly sure.

Limerick won the Munster version and I believe it’s panning out exactly as you predict, with lads not overly bothered about it.

Tis a shame because Andrew was a decent fella. Hijinks gone wrong to say the least.
