Leitrim Gaa 2026

You might as well throw in the pharmacy in Drumshanbo while you’re at it.

Big Donal will put manners on him Sunday…

Was he involved with our Minors last year ?

I don’t think so - Danny Beck and Ciaran Kennedy had the minors afaik.
Maybe he was but I don’t recall it.

I thought he was named/ involved early doors but fucked off fairly quick.I could be totally wrong.

Semi-final weekend. SOH face Mohill tomorrow evening. There won’t be a lot in it but I’m giving a tentative nod to SOH. Mohill will be relying on Beirne reaching 12 points + and a few others chipping in another 6/8.
SOH have a much more potent front 6 and I can see Honeyman, Prior and the Morans accumulating 20 points and easing through by 2.

Sundays offering should see Leitrim Gaels reach their 2nd successive final. Fenagh’s vaunted youth policy is beginning to look ropey, we’re dependent on 2 tribes, the 5 McLoughlins and 4 O’Rourkes but our defence has been somewhat suspect all year even though we lost 2 round robin games by the minimum. Hard to see how well dethrone the current county champions but I’ve backed them and SOH both 5/6.

It’ll come down to the proficiency of the respective sets of forwards….

Ill go for SOH by 6 and Fenagh by 2.

Drumreilly or Cloone the venue then - we can all walk……

In all honesty it’d be a super final, tremendous local respect, rivalry and bragging rights.

Although the refereeing decision of some years ago (SOH/Mohill) hasn’t been erased fully.

Ballinamore SOH advance to the senior final by virtue of a 3-13 to 2-10 victory over Mohill this evening. Mohill led by 6 points 12 minutes into the second half and failed to score thereafter.
SOH introduced Wayne Mac on the half-back line at this juncture along with Beezer McKiernan 1-02) and the changes had the desired effect.

For Mohill Squidgy Keegan did all he could along with Jordan Reynolds but apart from 2 frees Beirne was anonymous. SOH will be hard bet.

In additional news Drumkeeran were relegated to Junior A by Carrigallen who snatched victory with a late 1-01 flurry. Drumkeeran led 10pts to nothing after 25 minutes whatever happened. Davitt’s will be a sombre haunt tonight as they pick the bones of the carcass……

Class.

Good luck to your charges tomorrow. I’ll be keeping an eye out. With the Carlow Senior Hurling final played off tonight, that will be the one I’ll be watching out for with the most interest.

With an overall population of about 760 at the last census a lad was today praising our achievement in getting this far. He ran a quick maths process (amazing what some lads can do) and after discounting females (50%) over 40’s (50%) infirm, uninterested, under 14’s he had whittled our available for battle down to 50 of whom 25 are kicking Junior B……

The SOH supporters set the village on fire on their home journey, dropping to a crawl and making celebratory gestures as they swooped down into the village and climbed the hill back to B’more. They were countered with clenched fists and vague threats in a sporting manner.

They would prefer us in a final and should they prevail that carry-on (triumphalism) wouldn’t be in their nature and wouldn’t be appreciated by their genuine supporters. You don’t accumulate 21 titles without learning how to wear the crown. Tomorrow is a new day, we’re in it to win it…

Finely balanced at ht with Fenagh trailing by 5 but they have a strong breeze in the second half.Riordan leading the line well for Fenagh.Fermanagh kicked a right few 2 pointers in the first half Bruen with 2 lovely strikes. Its Fenagh’s to lose.

What a second half comeback from @Chancer charges. I checked the score at half time and they were down by 5. A 9 point second half turnaround to win by 4.

Fenagh looked like they were going out with a whimper after about 10/15 minutes into the second half until Riordan lashed in a goal and they sprang into life after that and ran out comfortable winners.1-06 from play for Riordan.David Bruen had a stormer for fermanagh hitting 0-08 from wingback.
