The decision not to enter Westminister was just one of their slow learner positions that they didn’t have to jettison 10 years ago because it was an easy one to keep on with their pretend narrative of being the true line from 1916. Minority parties had no impact the HoC and Government for decades and certainly not much in the time SF decided to run in MP races seriously. By staying out they could pretend that they were still following the 1916 boys, when everyone with a brain could see that they long ago surrendered to constitutional nationalism.
