Limerick GAA 2024

Glad to see you agree that he is a scumbag

Why does driving a horse and cart make you a scum bag?

He’s a fine athlete and physical specimen but his Hurling ability puts him way down the list of all time greats.

He’s not as good as his two half back colleagues and if Limerick had a shot to save a game from 70 metres he’d probably only have William O’Donoghue and Dan Morrissey behind him in terms of who Kiely/Kinnerk would want to hit it from their first 20 players.

Kicking a lad in the head repeatedly while he is on the ground makes him a scumbag

Who did that?

Your clubman

You must have been in a coma for December and January.

He’d probably round the man in front of him, drive on and tap it over from 40m!

In fairness, he is no stylist but his hurling is quick and he delivers good ball off either side.

Any position at all. A pure natural. We’ll be telling our grandkids we saw him

He’s the GOAT.

He’s a stubborn as one

Depends on whether they were 1 point down or 3.

He can’t be too bad if he won motm in the 2018 final scoring 4 points along the way. Not as stylish as others but I don’t think there’s any fella that would be harder to mark. Good on the ground, good in the air, good in the tackle and takes a score. Hannon and Byrne’s both stylish ball players but loose enough when it comes to defending

Munster U15A Hurling Final: Ardscoil Rís 3-17 Midleton 2-8

The burgeoning reputation of Clare’s Ian O’Brien received a further boost as he struck 3-4 to lead Ardscoil Rís to another Munster success in the Fr O’Dowd Cup in wet and windy Fethard on Wednesday afternoon.

Holders Midleton CBS were against the wind and behind in 10 seconds when Ardscoil captain Ian O’Brien goalled. The Limerick school raced six clear before John O’Sullivan struck a stunning goal for Midleton after 10 minutes.

It was vital for Ardscoil to construct a meaningful lead with the elements and Billy Galvin and O’Brien pointed before Sam Ring pulled one back.

Midleton lost full forward and free-taker Ring as Gavin O’Brien, Shane Waters, with his fifth free, and Xavier Nelligan tagged on further Ardscoil Ris scores to lead (1-10) to (1-3) after 25 minutes.

Ian O’Brien then struck for his second goal deep into first-half injury time to give Ardscoil an imposing 2-13 to 1-4 half-time advantage.

Midleton hope was extinguished when Ian O’Brien bagged his hat-trick against the run of play on 38 minutes. Midleton replied with a goal from sub Daniel P Walsh but the physically imposing Ardscoil remained in control.

Another big win for Clare/Limerick school today. Serious team.

Some catchment area they are pulling from.

Ollie Moran, Maurice Nelligan & Adrian O Briens sons I’m guessing?

And the Ian O’Brien is probably a relation of their current Harty cup full forward.

They are brothers

It’s so wrong imo. Ard scoil have been good for Limerick hurling, and they’ll be good for Clare hurling soon enough it seems. But lads from Killmallock travelling past ten schools to play hurling in town is wrong

No that’s probably Trixie Nelligans son, Maurice’s brother. Trixie scored the goal in the 92 county final against the Well.
