Would logic not dictate Graeme and brynes Are flying in training? Given they are starting?
Brynes is going well by all accounts but most of them are thankfully.
Logic would dictate that theyāve been selected by a committee of selectors based on a varying number of inputs, one of which being they arenāt from caherdavin
Reading a lot of the posts here there appears to be a lot of sillyness. Anyone who has attended the league games would know most of this team . People knocking the Morrisseys havent seen them play this year. Paul Browne who I love is just not in form. Graeme mul has been excellent in his last few appearances. Fair play to John kiely , he appears to have picked a team based on form and not past years reputations.
Nail on the head.
So Dowling and Mike Casey arenāt in form?
Whats your beef
@anon78624367 very interesting how your posts coincide with absense of @anon61956325 every single time.
They are but this group have gelled very well through the league and that counts fir a lot. Individually dowling may be good , but this is team game and everyone working for each other. Ive no doubt Shane will come in and do a job at some stage.
No beef. You said the team was selected on form ? I asked you a question.
Are they on form. Iād say yes.
Have they played for limerick, no. Have the played for limerick previously and shown form, yes
Strange to have no one from on of the best club sides in the country starting for a county thatās underachieved for decades
Tom Morrissey is a player a lot of people seem to be saying will be dropped. I wouldnāt have had him as a starter at the start of the year, mainly because his form for the U-21s fell away badly after Munster.
But heās always been a player well capable of getting scores; he racks up huge scores at club level, at minor intercounty, he was absolutely deadly and scored plenty for the U-21s too.
He might lack a bit of pure acceleration, but his work rate is sensational. Watch him tackle, heās way more effective at it than the majority of players. Heās being asked to play a different role than he would be used to, but heās doing it well. And the players that youād be looking to replace himā¦ Dempsey? I actually donāt think heās any better. Nash? I would rate Nash highly, but in this team, Iād have him closer to goal. And there are maybe question marks over his application, but I would definitely have him as a sub at least, as heās someone who wants to get goals. Murphy would be the one Iād have next in there, I really really rate him and think he is unlucky.
If Morrisseyās form was to dip, Iām sure he would be replaced but as of now, heās flying.
No one is guaranteed a position, I donāt think; if someone was to have a stinker, theyād be gone.
Surely its on current form for limerick and not past years form
I havenāt been around since 2015 kid. Youāve some memory for a daw
Esteban donāt bother trying to make valid points he us a simpleton no doubt
Pull your head in pal.
The Na Piarsaigh lads will be involved on Sunday after 50 mins.
Dowling and D Dempsey will get 20 mins.
As for Mike Casey; I would rate English above him but do think heās slightly unlucky. Probably the player that Na Piarsaighās run hurt the most as he had the jersey last year. A very sticky corner-back. His use of the ball against Kilkenny did irritate me a lot though. Cost us two scores directly.
I think itās great management by Kiely he is backing the players who have been there all through the Spring and is firing up the undoubtedly talented NAP players to show their stuff when given the chance from the bench, keeping the team chemistry intact, putting faith in the recent starters and having the subs raring to show their stuff, well played.
Hopefully the horse hasnāt bolted by then
Weāll be alright pal, everyone will be needed in this new format.
Why all the fucking negativity. It looks like some people here want limerick to fail to prove their own agendas, one of the reasons why following limerick is so hard.
