Limerick GAA - All-Ireland senior hurling champions 2018

Didnā€™t mean to leave DOD out earlier, he was brilliant. Got on an amount of ball.

I said at the start of the year that I didnā€™t want to have to go to Ennis needing a result playing 3 weeks on the bounceā€¦

Brick has been an absolutely brilliant player for the last decade but he wasnā€™t at the races today. Really struggled at wing back. He was probably only pressed into action there due to the sheer number of defenders they were missing. Looked far more at home last year up in the half forward line.

A great player as I said. Never nice to see a player possibly end his career like that.

Waterford were utterly appalling . They really looked off the pace completely . Lk were very very good and should have won by more .

Last years u-21ā€™s?

Finn, Lynch, Tom Morrissey and Hayes all started the final v Kilkenny (I think) and also started today.

Then youā€™ve maybe Barry Murphy and Flanagan who may have also been involved in both.

Morrissey stood on his own most of the day, always provided an outlet, Moran was poor as well, one of my favourite players,
Devine didnā€™t do much but burst a lung chasing and trying to prevent a quick puck out to the wing in the last minute, nice to see

The couple of weeks break between games last year obviously a massive help to him.

He will surely walk away now. I know him reasonably well, he is a quiet unassuming fella but is one chap Iā€™d love to have seen picking up a Celtic Cross medal.

Iā€™d still rate his 2007 League Final performance against KK as good as Iā€™ve seen.

Letā€™s hope he goes out on a high by beating Cork.

He just has/had an unbelievable hurling brain. Even in recent years when he has slowed down his intelligence always got him out of bother. One of the best players of his generation.

Remember him coming on as a sub down the Pairc in 2002 to finish us off. Heā€™s had some career.

Whatā€™s the story of we finish 3rd? Play McDonagh team and then losing Leinster finalist?

Yes :

So Kilkenny?

Ah lovely. That would be great.

Agree . A defeat would not be an utter disaster .

Got an East Terrace ticket 5 mins before this :pint:

Be the only one I wonā€™t makeā€¦ Gutted but slightly relieved as my nerves would be shot and I most likely would be murdered by the locals.

Not sure why people would sniff at a munster final win. Only won 3 in the years is it? Would be a massive feather in the cap of this team.

Got an East terrace one myself, Iā€™d say Iā€™ll get the train to Ennis and enjoy a few pints before and after :hugs:

Iā€™d absolutely love it.

I just think the 3 weeks on the bounce and it being away will be a big ask next week.

Iā€™d much prefer going through Munster to a semi.

Bastards.
