Youād hardly need an inside track to know that mate.
Finn was due to start in the corner ahead of mike Casey.
Yes, but due to the recent dry spell it hasnāt been safe for him to set the heather ablaze
The value of the DOWās stock has gone down
The Dow is a game changerā¦ Weāve hangers on here going demented with any turn of phrase we use.
The heatwave and the scorched pitch went against The Dow this week.
He gave JJ Delaney loads of it in the downpour but thatās four years ago at this stage.
Letās see if we can get a dead cat bounce out of him as a sub.
Is the big surprise really that David Dempsey hasnāt made the 26? Unless heās injured?
I didnāt think he was too bad in his first few cameos, without standing out, but things really didnāt go well for him against Clare. It looks like Barry is in for him. A bit of a surprise though, in that heās gone from being first sub in on multiple occasions to not being there at all.
No Barry Murphy either, replaced by Pat Ryan.
Barry Murphy can feel hard done by but judging by his U21 performance v Tipp his form may have dipped. I thought David Dempsey had no affect on any of the games he came on in really. He wasnāt too bad v Waterford when the game was over.
Barry is a grand hurler but I feel he lacks size and pace .
Ah he is plenty big and strong enough and is very fit but in my opinion he doesnāt have the pace needed for top level hurling
He is clever and can use herself but he isnāt a big man .
which one Murphy or OāConnell?
I thought you were on about OāConnell.
I think Barry Murphy is a great bit of stuff and though not blindingly quick or big in size he has enough of both to get by on because as you say heās a very clever forward with a nice first touch
Agree .
Especially as Hickey is still there. He has been a great servant but his best days are well behind him now.
John Kiely is doing a Barney Curley touch here. Weāll clean up.
Murphy
I think Barry Murphy is very quick. Not the tallest but very good in the air. Would agree he was poor for the 21s but the likes of Flanagan and Casey were poor too.
Barry OāConnell doesnāt have top end pace but heās by no means slow. I actually think heās much quicker now than he was, say, three years ago.
Lots of Barrys, Nash has all the raw attributes but heās best running at goal and heās barely had a chance to do that yet.
Dempsey isnāt a game changing sub for me. Grand to tack on a few points if things are going well or even to start, but wonāt change a game if things are going poorly. Pat Simon much more likely to make an impact IMO
