Any songs yet?
There was only one moment where I had any doubt that we would win.
Never mind 6 points down with 10 to go, that was plenty of time to get the scores as long as we kept the head. There were signs Cork were starting to tire and our subs were always going to make an impact. They donāt know when theyāre beaten and have the scoring power all over to hit the points if the chances fall their way.
I know Iāve harped on about this already but the only moment I doubted at all was when Cahalane threw that handpass to Harnedy. It had to be a goal. All these thoughts flashing through my mind āweāre going to be 3 down, this time weāll actually need a goal, Cork will just foul usā. I was in the Cusack so when he stepped across, it really looked as if he couldnāt miss.
Most goalies would have just made themselves big but there was no missing that. Nickie had the clarity of thought & vision to decide on the one thing that he could do to save the season. Whatever about the perfect execution, a sublime piece of skill in itself, it was being able to make that decision in the split second available.
Iām ashamed to have doubted them for even a moment, these lads are winners.
In extra-time, it was only ever going one way. The legs of the likes of Pat Simon & WOD were too much to handle for Cork especially when Kearney & Fitzgibbon went off. Personally, I felt OāMahony for Meade was a mistake as wellā¦ Meade wasnāt spectacular but he was the type we were struggling with but weāll deal with OāMahony all day long. One time in particular he took an age to strike it and Lynch made up a nice bit of ground to get a hook in.
@Copper_pipe - Are you uploading the game to Youtube?
I just remembered giving you a big hug in Kent station last night
cc @Mac
Iāll look in to it
Happy to give that the tenth.
Well the cat is well and truely out of the bag in terms of what my wifeās friends think of me. Batshit fucking crazy. Ceremony finished with about 10 minutes when we were 6 down. A few smart comments and grins as they walked past me in the bar and saw the score. 5 down, 4 down, 3 down, and then once we got it back to 2 the flood gates opened. It was like breaking the seal on a night out. Madness ensued. Jumping Round the place. Roaring at the telly. Screaming for every decision. The whole of Langtons was laughing at me but I couldnāt give a fuck. Of course some fuckers took a video and showed to most of the wedding but nothing was killing my buzz last night. Fucking epic stuff. Iām shot to pieces
Itās up in full on the RTE Player now. Anyone who used Sky Plus didnāt get the second half of ET.
RTE Player is a joke ā¦ wont work on my tv at allā¦ the short vidoes they have of the pundits offering their opinions play perfectly but no full shows will playā¦
Works fine for me if I use the Sky On Demand thingy.
Just watching it back now as Michael D is meeting the players. Four-in-a-row (Hayes, T. Morrissey, Gillane & Flanagan) must all be going to the same barber.
Willie O Meara cuts all there hair.
Good man Willie. The Barber of Askeaton.
Clareās Fresh Prince song is off the hook. Youāll do well to match it
Havent heard it yet.
Refer back to my post on Gillane getting his fade cut sitting alongside me in Mungret the day before the Kilkenny match

Hup. That was fucking monumental.
