Woulfe, OāShea & OāNeill are the main three. Funnily enough they are all pretty similar.
Boylan is the only standout defender I have seen that might make it.
Could do with a few for the fullback line

Iām not saying thatās not true, all those East Limerick lads are a bit touched, but thatās not what I heard.
Heās a bright chap, heās studying Theoretical Physics in Trinity and afaik he wants to focus on getting his degree before giving the big commitment.
And as for playing outfield, Iām almost sure that he didnāt refuse to play there. Trinity arenāt overloaded with decent players and had two good goalies.
I am very much for real . Standards are dropping at underage level . The 2016 team were guilty of taking Tipp a bit lightly. This yearās team was poor taking the seniors out . The minor team this year while admirable werenāt great and shipped 3 big beatings .
My point is that work needs done . I accept that we have been blessed with the 1994 - 1996 birth group .
Euphoria ( understandable ) can often lead to ignoring inconvenient truths .
Minors is a bit of an odd grade this year, we topped the group in Munster but then took trimmings in the quarter final play-off stage. Galway will probably win the thing out with their usual trick of dropping into the competition in July.
The U21 game vs Tipp came in a bad, bad week for us. Hummerings at senior, U21 and football all in the space of a few days I think?
Would agree with you on backs. I really like OāGrady from Knockainey as a corner-back. I suppose youād be looking at trying to get OāMeara, OāLoughlin, Malachy to compete for those positions as the likes of Condon, McCarthy & Hickey move away. Ronan Lynch maybe? Tommy Grimes? ALTC?
You are right to an extent. Standards have slipped. But weāre still in a much better place than we were 10 years ago. But other counties are raising standards all the time, and we need to follow suit.
Look at the likes of Cork, way off the pace at underage but with the minors of 15 & 17 in particular look to be getting their house in order. Kilkenny had all that senior success but definitely let underage standards dip in the interim.
Itās usually down to the wrong people appointed in these academies, people want to get in on the success but may not be the best coaches available. The likes of Elvis & CCHA would probably know more about it than me. Hopefully Wallace can put his stamp on things.
There is a problem with participation as well and coaching before getting chaps in to the academy .
That fella fair loves Mul.
Thatās 2-14 from play, some going.
Gillane has 1-16 from play in under 5 games. Also serious shooting considering he missed the turkey shoot against Waterford and has missed a hape of goal chances.
hego has 1-13 got. A serious return
Mulcahy 2-14
Morrissey 0-19
Gillane 1-16
Hegarty 1-13
Lynch 1-11
Flanagan 0-12
Kyle 1-9
OāDonovan 0-10
Decent spread.
plus what weāve scored off the bench.
Dowling
0-15 Waterford
0-4 Clare
0-1 Kilkenny
1-4 Cork
Casey 1-5
Dowling 0-6
Murphy 1-0
PRS 1-0
Nash 0-2
pat ryan and barry murphy with big goals off the bench. Casey has contributed about 1-5 Iād say and set up and won frees.
Tony Kelly is the top scoring non free taker with 1-25 in 7 games.
*people say heās having a bad year.
Whatever about the young lads having a few years in front of them Iād say most if not all of the remaining 2005 minors will retire at the end of this campaign. Been great servants but must be tough to accept not being starters now after years being first choice.
Who is favourite for hurler of the year (must check the odds)?.
2 big games for Duggan probably win it for him. Anyone a stand out for us?
Big finals for Gillane, Morrissey (even though semi might have scuppered that), Lynch maybe?
G.Mul if he had a huge final honestly shouldnāt be out of the reckoning heās been superb all year bar the clare game. Having said that i couldnāt see them giving him the nod.
Edit: Completely forgot about Jon Conlon.
Gillane is fav in a lot of places.
Either of the Mannions from Galway. Canning is in with a shout cos heās the Joe Show
