When did Galbally stop fielding a hurling team?

A great lad.

Adare is hopping.

It’s home, finally.

You’re the right Pretend IRA hardman. Douglas Carrothers was a reserve police officer murdered by criminal scum.

Fire up a few pics

Can’t remember they ever having one. Any hurler like James Ryan etc went playing with the bouncers. Not many Garryspillane lads reciprocated though and played football with Galbally. Remember my auld lad (a Galbally man) bringing me to a couple of senior county football finals involving themselves and Fr Caseys in 90s. Tim Cummins was their hero back then. They seem to be coming again and had teams involved in Feiles at u14 level up in Derry. They have a very strong minor team. I believe Declan Browne is involved with them at the moment.

Ya Galbally have been very strong underage in recent years. They have some huge players ( as always)

They play with the bouncers for years

I know that. That’s why I was asking.

Yeah most of my cousins, uncles are heavily involved. We were on a collision course with them in Munster intermediate football Championship last year but that situation didnt arise (probably for the better). They draw in players from a huge catchment area down to Kilteely, knocklong, Garryspillane, half way down to Kilbehenny. Its a bit of an arm wrestle with rugby there as well as they have been traditionally strong in that too. Good club with plenty of money and will be back up to senior football ranks very soon as will Garrryspillane in hurling.

They seem like a great club and it will be nice to see them back Senior in both codes eventually. Hardy bucks back there.
