I was talking to a fella from Ballyhea recently enough and the story from there is he’s too quiet to go up by himself. He’s a bit of a loner and won’t go into a dressing room or up to training by himself.

There’s talk of bringing on a random fella from Ballyhea just to get him to go up.

That isn’t true at all I know him well enough. He’ isn’t any more mental than the rest of us but because he’s a good hurler but not that interested all these odd theories appear. Tom Ryan from liberties had similar crap made up about him.

According to 2016 census figures, Charleville has a population of almost 4,000. Which would make it bigger than any Limerick town bar Newcastle.
